In qualifying for World Cup 2006 we started away twice and won the Hexagonal (thanks to the tiebreaker being head-to-head, Mexico had the best goal differential).
DRAW MECHANICS: For the purpose of the draw, there will be two pots: Pot 1 which will contain the names of the six teams who have advanced from round three of qualifying and Pot 2 which will contain the match calendar positions for each team (1 through 6). During the draw, one ball will be extracted from Pot 1 unveiling the team's name, followed immediately by one ball from Pot 2, which will determine the position in the calendar. This procedure will repeat itself five times until all teams have been matched with their corresponding match calendar number. By the completion of the draw with the last two balls, the entire match calendar will be automatically populated. no mention of who is involved in the fix however
Not sure if I am late to the party, but just saw we drew Mexico, Jamaica, Honduras, Costa Rica, and Panama on twitter, figured it would be in here somewhere unless I missed it.
Why? I checked concacaf.com and didn't see the pre-set match calendar laid out anywhere. That would be poor scheduling. Feb. 6 Home Teams A B C Away Teams D E F Matchday 2 Home Teams D E F Away Teams B C A
do you really have "register" with concacaftv to watch this? has anyone else done this and is it worth it?
I don't know if you have to register but I registered for something with CONCACAF before that was free. I hope CONCACAF puts up a link to the draw live and soon.
Yes, it's free and definitely worth it (especially to catch CCL games that aren't broadcast on FSC). And people...it's actually happening. I can see a live CONCACAF draw with my own two eyes.
