The game was called off due to rain flooding the pitch an hour after the match was supposed to start. The roof at the Polish National Stadium, which takes 12 minutes to open, could not be opened because the rain and wind were too heavily. All the Polish and 2,000 English supporters were treated to 2 pitch invaders, who ran around the penalty areas.

FIFA has rescheduled it on Wed. the 17th. The match will kickoff at 4pm. In the U.S. it would start at 10am eastern time.

If Poland can not meet the deadline, England will be awarded the match and take all 3 points since Poland is hosting the game.

Very nice vid. Loved when the guard fell down and tried to cling onto the pitch invader.

Very nice vid. Loved when the guard fell down and tried to cling onto the pitch invader.(Best moment of his life, I bet.) Well I guess all, but 2 Polish fans plus 2,000 English supporters will be back for the match tomorrow.

how stupid of them. there's a freakin retractable roof. why on earth did they not use that? now Hodgson's afraid that the pitch might still be unplayable.

This morning the field was dry so they can play. The situation is embarrassing, but Poles make fun of it. One of the jokes is:

Thera are two sport fans talking:

    - Are you going to see the match today?
    - No. I'll go tomorrow.

they could poke fun at the situation, but they're missing the fact that this is an actual embarrassment to their country's sporting history. not hating here. i just think that kind of joking casts them in a bad light.
