If you are in support of the NYC stadium in Queens - please be ready to come out and support the local officials as they push to make this happen. We will need support in short notice and it might be as soon as the next few weeks. As soon as I get a date I will pass it along but get ready - time is coming to step out from behind the keyboards and actually show our faces in support of it all.
Truth! Reaching the goal starts with supporting the goal. People need to stand behind this and not stand on the sideline. We need to voice our support and be dignified in our support. We want this because its a good thing not just for soccer but for the community and the park as well. We need to respect the concerns of those opposed and expalin the stadium and MLS's commitment to fixing the park fields and replacing the lands makes this a good deal for the city and its residents! And of course, its great for soccer fans dreaming of finally having a NYC team to support and who can grow in the community together with us!
There is a lot of MIS INFORMATION going around about this stadium and the USTA and Mall are getting mixed in with this. We need to be there in voice - a non confrontational voice and explain to people why this is a good idea. Stadium is getting done the usta stuff is getting done and the mall on that juck yard shit hole is getting done and there is no upper west side hippie group thats going to stop this... the fact that millionss of dollars every year in yaxes for the city will win over some envionmental weirdo...you cant protect a coroded pond with toxic water that stinks like a bag of ass on a hot day.... good bye fountine of panets or what ever you were called in the 30's hello stadium....
