Apparently CKH is considering a two top with PCY and LDG. He does talk about the need to bleed in he new generation (which is good news) yet insists on playing LDG...
it would be better for PJY to come off the bench. LDG starts in a 4-2-3-1 then second half pair KSW and PJY in a 2 top

What's our alternative option? Please don't tell me it's YBGR--he's in terrible, terrible form for Seongnam right now.
Well. It is because we currently do not have any young strikers better than LDG. They need to pick their game up quickly.
Kim Shinwook shouldn't start against a high tempo team like Uzbekistan. Moving up and down the pitch isn't exactly his game, not since the mileage on his knee started increasing anyways. I will actually go as far as saying he shouldn't take part in this match unless we go down a goal. Kim will come handy in our next match when we face a defensively approached Iranian team. Lee Donggook Lee Keunho Lee Seunggi - Ki Sungyong - Park Jongwoo - Lee Chungyong ??? - Lee Jungsoo - ??? - ??? Jung Sungryong Kim Bokyung and Park Chuyoung start on the bench since they will most likely be off form.
Lee Donggook Nam Taehee - Lee Keunho - Lee Chungyong Ki Sungyong - Park Jongwoo Yun Sukyoung - Lee Jungsoo - Hwang Seokho - Oh Jaesuk Jung Sungryong Pretty young backline but at least they'll be very familiar with each other. Apologies if I've listed anyone that wasn't actually called up. LKH certainly deserves the start although I'm not sure how he would perform in KJC's spot since he's more accustomed to being out on the wing, but perhaps he, Nam and LCY could create a lot of havoc interchanging. Also, I'm sure this may not sit well with some posters, but perhaps we could change some small portion of the thread title to English to clue in those posters that cannot read Korean.
wait, i thought oh jae suk wasn't called up. My line up would be JSR; YSY, KTH, HSH, OBS/thenewguyfromthezambiafriendly; KBK/LSG, KSY, PJW, LCY; PCY/LKH, LDG since CKH was talking up using PJY + LDG up front. Don't really agree but oh well.
There's no reason why we need to use the 4-2-3-1 against the Uzis. I'd much prefer to see a 4-4-2 with LDG and LKH up top. Or the 4-4-1-1 that ksock posted above yours... And OJS wasn't called up.
We don't need to, but will we really be using the 4-4-2 outside of Asia? I'm not the best at understanding football tactics and formations, but I thought the 4-4-2 is generally used when playing a lesser opponent. That would make sense in WCQ, but shouldn't we get our players accustomed to the formation that we're more likely to employ when it really counts? And with OJS I had a feeling he was one that might not be called up. Are OBS and CHJ the two options then? Good to hear Nam was called up too; after losing hope upon hearing about his Middle Eastern move I'm expecting big things from him again. Now that he's padded his retirement savings he needs to move ASAP!
Brazil is still quite aways. Lets qualify first, even if using tactics that aren't ideal against higher quality opponents, and then experiment later.
Kim Bo-Kyung is on the move again – and this time he’s heading to Tashkent in Uzbekistan. Only a week after flying in from Seoul to link up with new club Cardiff, Kim is on World Cup duty. He is in Korea’s squad for their qualifier against Uzbekistan. That means a 6,500-mile, 14-hour round trip from the UK. Kim, signed by the Bluebirds from Japanese club Cerezo Osaka for £2m, spent last week training with the squad and was an unused substitute for the 3-1 win against Wolves. He is one of seven City players away for international matches.
