Thought I would start a thread to see if it is likely that the team is going to be able to get 6,000 people to do the groundbreaking. My cousin and I are in, so that's 2.
I have already registered and received my "reservation slip." I have heard from several other locals, who I wouldn't characterize as Quakes fans, let alone BigSoccer fanatics, who have also registered. I therefore suspect that the registration will be fully booked. I originally thought the idea of going for a world record was kind of hokey, but I now recognize it as brilliant. It's creating a buzz among ordinary people in this community as they become aware of it and the possibility of participating in it.
The boys and I will be there. +3. It's both good and bad that it's the LA game -- can't invite peeps to join us because no one is going to make the trip just for the groundbreaking.
hahaha, 2! Alright, only another 5,998 to go! I'm not rippin gon you, just thought it was funny, wish i could help but sadly im thousands of miles away.
The form they send you in the confirmation has no unique markings... Just print a stack. Anything you don't use, leave under a brick or a rock over in the In-n-Out parking lot for anyone else to snag.
My son who is now going to ASU in Tempe will fly in for this. Conveniently, SJC is just across the street.
