No I'm actually not a win at all costs. In fact when I play (or played) pickup games, I wouldn't even keep score. Didn't really care who won.

However, if need be I wouldn't mind players taking one for the team. But it has to be a thought out situation where they will not hurt the team. Can't just foul all the time, get sent off, having to miss games/play down a man or 2, or it would hurt the team. His situation was very unique and worked out for his team. That's why it was a brilliant play. Don't know if he was smart enough to figure out all the ramification and if it would have been worth it, or just a reflex action. If it wasn't just reflex, then it was even more brilliant.

I'd much rather have Ade back than Suarez. That stomp on RvP now looks outright forgivable.

I'd be all for bringing Adebayor back if he stomped on Van Persie again. Especially since he plays for Spuds.

I lulzed when Sahin said they'll get top four. Only if Suarez, Adam, Downing, Carroll et al ALL play well.

That said, it won't be easy there, but I think we can get a result. As our defence has improved, if we nullify Suarez and Carroll they won't have much attacking threat. And even with Sahin, I think we can match them in midfield. Hopefully at this game, Carzola/Giroud/Podolski can finally click.

And now that the Ox is back, we should start him over Theo.

I'd actually have given my left nut for that sort of crunchy, whatever-it-takes defending in recent seasons. Lord knows we've needed it. Yeah, I love an elegant pickpocket sort of tackle that retains possession as much as anyone else, but now and then you just have to take a motherfvcker out.

So, it was real then? I don't have the stomach to watch it again but I remember there being some debate about its authenticity.

Remember that...sure, wasn't an Arsenal player at the time but wasn't a c*nt either. Pulling hair, having a little kickout, etc. are petulant things. Taking all together, I agree he's a c*nt but I've never seen him try to actually hurt another player or be totally reckless with is play. If the sport would have better/more refs and/or instant replay or post game review banning players for diving and petulant acts the refs miss we could get most of this out of the game.

ooooooooohhhh i was patiently waiting for someone to break out the Henry handball incident! Listen, you can post a thousand youtube clips of handball incidents and they can each be interpreted differently. My point about Suarez was that he's been involved in enough incidents since that handball to prove to me that he doesn't strike me as a guy with much integrity. If you want to compare a guy like Suarez to Thierry Henry, be my guest. I personally think Titi has more class in his pinky than Suarez does in his whole body.

Thierry Henry is class personified. It's unclear whether Suarez understands the concept of class.

for the record: i despise the bastard. i don't care that we have not scored to start the season and i don't care if we have to start sanchez watt and jernade meade out on the wings next game, i. don't. want. that. twat. on. a. team. i. support.

that said, how do you feel about one thierry daniel henry?

PS - i know of no gooner who did not cheer for grimandi's tackle in bergkamp's testimonial.

damn that crazy guy, he beat me to it. okay, you and i are on the same page that he's a piece of shit that neither of us want at a club we support. on the other hand, if you're going to say
then, yeah, somebody is going to bring up henry's play because that was a weak example/reason on why suarez should be considered a waste of oxygen. especially when there is a HUUUUUUUUUUUGE library of reasons.

There's lot of reasons to think Suarez is a piece of shit. Sacrificing himself so his team would just have the slightest chance to progress TO THE WORLD CUP SEMIFINALS isn't one of them.
