    Hello all,

This is a controversial thread title, but I think it's warranted. Arsenal haven't been able to keep good players for the past few seasons, while Liverpool haven't been able to have good players at all. This looks to be a battle for absolutely nothing, and yet should be an incredibly entertaining game. Neither side has won a game this season. The two matches featuring one of the sides has yet to feature a goal. The two matches featuring the other side have yielded a surprising seven. So, in this topsy turvy brave new world, it stands to reason that the two matches featuring Arsenal have been 0-0 draws, and the two matches featuring Liverpool have been relative goalfests. This should be a cracker.

    Time: 1330 GMT/830 EST/Go look at a clock if you're anywhere else.
    Date: Sunday, September 2nd
    TV:

    US: Fox Soccer Channel
    Everywhere else: Someone else's problem

Incidentally, I'll be in NYC with Mrs. mebeSajid this weekend, so a recommendation for a place to watch the game in Manhattan (preferably mid-town) would be appreciated.

    KILL!

I don't know - the last thing the squad needs is a diving, racist, c#nt of a player.

Well, Jamooky may have doubts, but not me. I would take him in a heartbeat. But I think ultimately he'll do better in Italy. I think he needs a fresh start to get back to his level. Weird to me how hated the guy is....

    Oh, and Just Win, baby...

This should be a good game. Hopefully our first game where the opposition won't be desperately looking for a draw from the get-go. If we can maintain our cleansheet streak with this game I'm fairly certain we'll win.

The only bar I've ever been kicked out of - so, yeah, it's a good time.

It used to be good 2 years ago, then there was a lot of drama, and most of the fan clubs left. I wouldn't bother with it if I were you. If you are in the East Village you might as well go to the Blind Pig which is 5 minutes away from it.

If you are going to be in Midtown, try Legends Bar on the 33rd street. You will be outnumbered by other fans, but it is a great spot to catch a game (has food, and is much more conveniently located for those who arent already in the EV).

Last I heard they re-located inside Webster Hall while they prepare to move to a new location 1 block further.

Uh - I had no idea that Nevada Smith's went downhill. Only been there twice and that was a good 8/9 years ago. I had a great time there both times, but that was back in the day when I had zero access to live EPL matches - so maybe the novelty of being able to actually watch matches clouded my judgement.

Blind Pig really is the place to go, it has gotten to the point that games get filled to capacity though. To fix this problem, The NYC Arsenal Supporters have worked it out with O'Hanlons to act as an overflow pub. Its still on 14th St, but closer to 1st Ave.

Sorry, as a black man I couldn't accept it. Would have to stop watching games until he and whoever's idea it was to bring him in was off the squad. Plus dude gets a lot of press but hasn't really scored a lot. Might not be as good as people think.

Psh, I would welcome Suarez with no problems. One incident does not make the man evil personified.
