Wow, amazing production value for a reserves game, and Jeld Wen is packed!
I didn't know Mwanga and Fucito were reserves.. Whatever, I guess

Guvenishuk with the brace?! Lol. I guess the trend for SJ continues this weekend.

I forget that Portland's U-23s are actually part of the PDL, unlike our reserves. So I can see why it's a bigger deal in terms of streaming and attendance.

Good on Sercan, but we got dominated for most of the match. Brad Ring was the class on the field. Garza was solid as well. Bingham brings a swagger to his position. I wish he'd play that confident when he's on the field for the senior team.

The ref said "play on", so we did? I can see how Portland got caught with their pants down on that one...

Looking at the rosters, it's not surprising that the Quakes got dominated on the field. Portland had a much more experienced team - San Jose had several guest players and a couple of academy players on the field. The Quakes had only 5 guys in the game who had any MLS experience at all (Ring, Garza, Guvenisik, Zayner, and Bingham), and 3 of those are young players with very limited experience. You could really only call Ring and Zayner as guys who have significant MLS time.

It's a positive that the Quakes could do so well against Portland, who fielded a starting lineup that had 8 guys who have MLS experience, and 7 of those who have multiple years of MLS experience.

Yep. Only 5 of our field players from that game are even on our roster.
