I am make this thread for the people who follows MMA.
Nice topic. I'm a big fan of UFC. I am interested to see what Barao can do tonight. He has been impressive quite far. Faber should be a good test for him. I can't wait to see Erick Silva fight again. It's been a while since I've seen an athlete defend ES. He could be a potential star too..
UFC 149 results recap: Urijah Faber vs Renan Barao fight photos gallery from Calgary UFC 149: "Faber vs. Barao" took place last night (Sat., July 21, 2012) from the Scotiabank Saddledome in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, featuring Renan Barao claiming the vacant interim bantamweight championship by outclassing Urijah Faber over five rounds. http://www.mmamania.com/2012/7/22/3...-renan-barao-fight-photos-gallery-calgary-mma
Good win for Barao. I felt like he had a few opportunities to finish Faber, but he got the deserved decision. Overall, the card was HORRIBLE.
Shogun has the worst stamina I have ever seen. He's done. I don't think he'll be a top fighter any more...
He's done. He'll never win a title again with that kind of stamina. He should have easily defeated Hendo and he made the Vera fight look tougher than it should be. Am I crazy for thinking Lyoto will make it a tougher fight for Bones this time around? The cut he got during the first fight is what ended his chances. I just think we will see a more confident Lyoto...he didn't deserve his first fight with Bones.
that first fight wake up lyoto and now he very hungry to win the belt back which is the opposite of shogun.
The beauty of MMA is that anything can happen. But personally I think Bones is just too good. He has too many tools in his bag and he can be unpredictable. The only question about him is if he has a good chin. The only way Lyoto can win is do what he does best, keep the distance and counter attack. But I just don't think he can keep Bones at bay for 5 rounds.
From Wiki: He received his nickname "Cigano" by showing up to practice with long hair placed in a ponytail
Really looking forward to seeing Spider put Weidman in his place. I was looking forward to Aldo v. Pettis, but now the Korean zombie is replacing Pettis. It still should be a good one, but I think Pettis would have been a better test. Aldo has disappointed me a bit his last 2-3 fights. He dominates early and then loses steam and let's his opponent make it close. I want to see him close out his fights. His stamina has always been an issue, mostly due to the amount of weight he cuts.
