if we win this one I'll be amazed. this NYRB attacking line is truly absurd. Henry, Cooper, La Toux, Dax, Cahill, are you kidding me? Lets just hope they aren't quite clicking yet and are tired from this tottenham game.

Yea but their D is not good. Dax is out due to card accumulation. I'd like to see what they trot out for midfield against us. They didn't look that good against Montreal.

Henry is apparently not playing tonight in order to rest for Friday.

I think Heath Pearce unfortunately gives their defense some legitimacy. They didn't have him v. Montreal but they think he will be back on Friday I believe.

    ----Henry------Cooper-----
    -----------Cahill-----------
    Lindpere------------LeToux
    ---------Tanio/Dax----------

Might be the best all around attacking six in MLS from a purely talent perspective. I just don't know that I think the pieces fit that great together.

There D has talent but they haven't been playing well, that's what I meant.

You can call them Austrian Red Bulls, Red Bull NY, yada, yada, yada, but they are still the same old Metro-they can look great on paper, but they will f#$% it up in the end. They might win on Friday, but I guarantee they will self implode at some point. Just like death and taxes, you can count on it.

The Dynamo and their good run have been getting a lot of notice lately. On the Tottenham/NYRB game they keep talking about the Dynamo. Likewise SBI and other blogs and soccer sources. But they keep talking about our change in formation and sometimes mention Bruin's success. Maybe I'm missing it, but I haven't seen anyone give any credit to Boniek. We haven't lost since he got here. He's always overlooked when they mention all the new DP signings, too, even when the bring up the Hondurans...

He needs a good nickname already, wonder what the veterans have tagged him with.
Joe quickly got pantera negra. OBG did the sombrero move on TFC. He's got some moves. El Flaco!

After watching the match, a couple of things.

    1) They still can't defend on set pieces, which we are pretty damn good at.
    2) Our midfield can match up with them relatively well, OBG is gonna have to have a performance and continue to make himself difficult to be knocked off the ball.
    3) The back line is really gonna have to careful about those long through balls as that's how the first goal came about with Cahill getting the penalty.

It won't be an easy game that's for sure but I mean if we were able to beat former #2 and #3 in the East at home where its going to hot and humid as hell. We can beat NY as well. Now for the match at the RBA. That'll be a different story...

Mr. Taylor is very good on defending against long through balls if y'all haven't noticed. Andre gets caught, but Jermaine reads the game very well.

Well they're definitely gonna have to be on point for sure. NYRB will abuse the hell out trying to get through the back line. If the line can for NY into set piece play, then we got em. Midfield and the back four are gonna have to put on a stellar performance. Not really worried about the attacking side, they've been great. All in all, I think with this match being at the BBVA and no Dax will help hugely for this match.

I think Boniek will likely remain unnoticed, sportswriters like to write about big names like Beckham, Beckham, and Beckham, and Henry. The important thing is that most (all?) Dynamo fans already love his sweet smiling Honduran face.

i wathced all of the game agains spurs and holgerson is HORRIBLE. WE MUST EXPLOIT THEIR WEAKNESS IN THE CB POSITIONS. LADE AND MILLER ARE GOOD BACKS. CAHILL LOOKED SHARP,HENRY AND COOPER,WELL ENUFF SAID THEY ARE A GOOD TANDEM.

THIS WILL BE AN EPIC CLASH. TWO OF TOP FOUR TEAMS IN MLS WITH SAN JOSE AND A SURGING GALAXY ALSO IN THAT GROUP IMO. AND NO SKC IS DROPPING OFF AS OF LAT E THAT S WHY I DIDNT INCLUDE THEM.

So remember, whenever you're late for kick-off, it makes Brian Ching sad. Don't make Brian Ching sad.
