I remember those days well...I didn't yet have a BS account, but was a master lurker. I'm not sure if public opinion of the Austrian BL has improved, or if US fans prefer Boyd to Zimmerman, but there seems to be a lot more positivity around Boyd's move than there was around Zimmerman's. Keep in mind his stint in Austria was still pre "Real Amurica" twitter rant

Also, Rapid Wien is many times better than SV Kapfenberg or wherever Zimmerman played. Plus they play in the Europa League.

This. The league is viewed the same way, but Boyd's team is held in much higher regard than Zimmerman's.

Thats true, did you know Kapfenberg has been relegated twice since Zimmerman left and is in the Austrain BL 3? Or whatever it is called. They were in Europa contention for some of the season when Zimmerman was there back in the day.

Yes he did score. The stream on firstrow is pretty bad.

Final ball could've been better but great effort from Boyd to win it in the corner.

My guess of 10-12 goals for his first season may not be too far fetched.

#33 on Rapid seems to be one of the best players on the squad for sure. Guy seems to love to cross from the flanks, which obviously is good for Boyd

Boyd's teammate sent a long ball downfield to the corner, the Wacker defender got there first, but Boyd slid to win the ball before the defender could clear. Boyd then sent a less than perfect cross to his teammate, and it got cleared by the other team.

Boyd got the assist on the second goal. I couldn't tell.

No, that was a separate play after the goal. I'm just mentioning all key plays Boyd is involved in. I tuned into the game after Boyd scored, so if anyone saw the goal and wants to describe it that would be great.

There's chatter on twitter saying Boyd assisted on the second goal, I honestly don't recall the build up before the finish but if anyone could confirm that it would be great.

I don't think he did. I thought the ball was crossed from the LW to the RW, and all Boyd did was draw defenders to give the RW space to shoot.

    GiallorossiYank repped this.

Haha I was thinking to myself before, "This looks a lot like Freddy Adu's streams".

My stream is average, I don't have announcers, just the crowd noise, I'm on frontrowsports
