Good to see he was enchanted. Man, I really hope this gets done soon. Really want to see him play in the US tour.
Just adding to the source list: http://blogs.soccernet.com/onthemove/ "12.06 BST: Chievo midfielder Michael Bradley should complete a €5 million transfer to Roma by tomorrow, his agent has said. Alberto Faccini told asromanews.it: “I am confident because I have been given assurances. I am convinced that, in 24 hours, all will be resolved.”"
Well like I said there's some uncertainty with this deal. The genius Greco doesn't want to move to Chievo he'd rather move to Olympiakos. Apparently it's always been his dream to not get paid on time. Things in Italy seem to be changing rapidly and clubs like Milan are going to start buying players, changing the market on players Roma are after. Which I hope doesn't cause us to reevaluate some of our targets. I don't think it would effect Bradley but you never know. Say if Greco doesn't want to go to Chievo and Roma is left with the only option of upping the cash in the Bradley bid. Would we do that when CM of all our needs is probably 4th or 5th and we might need all the cash we can get to sign other prospects like center backs.
Welcome to intra-Serie A transfers, folks. You can find the valium over by the stress balls next to the massage chair.
But if Roma doesn't exist, how can I be sure that I exist? You know what? I'm not going to work today. It's probably not real anyway...
I told people a few pages back the longer this lingers the more unlikely it will become. People keep saying it's "almost done" but all the moving parts aren't coming to an agreement.
Obviously nothing new here, but here's an update from Chievo's Sporting Director: http://www.calciomercato.com/news/roma-bradley-ds-chievo-siamo-al-90-della-trattativa-120632 "We've been 90% in agreement with Roma for several days," says Giovanni Sartori, Sporting Director of Chievo, speaking on Radio Sport Mana Mana on the subject of negotiations, now in the final stages, between Roma and Chievo for Michael Bradley. "The transfer is missing the 10% that we are trying to fix," says the executive, who is still fully optimistic about the operation's close and happy outcome. He concludes: "I cannot reveal what that missing element is, but the newspapers have already reported the story correctly," referring probably to the question of Leandro Greco, who would not seem to like a return to Verona.
So, Michael Bradley to recently purchased Nottingham Forest to become player-coach in their promotion campaign, got it.
Take this with a grain of salt, as this information is from Wikipedia, but on Leandro Greco's page it claims that he was loaned out for the season to Olympiakos today. I don't know that that throws a hitch into Mikey's transfer to Roma or not? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leandro_Greco
Depends it would probably mean that Roma need to up the money involved in the Bradley deal, or find other players that Chievo would want. I fear if we're left with the option of paying more money we'll just go for a player like Sissoko, who's openly been campaigning to come to Roma but would cost a little more.
The fact that ROMA is actively trying to push this deal through shows they really want Bradley. Must be good for his morale. How do Chievo fans feel about it?
