Garrincha, by far. He leftt defenders on the ground, without even touching the ball. He is the truly personification of the dribbler, if you have the world "dribbler" on the dictionary, you gotta put his picture there.
What does Neymar is doing in this poll? He can be here in the future, only in the future. Imo Ronaldo is the best dribbler. But Messi, Okocha and another players are amazing too
Why is Messi in this Poll? Nesta at 35/36 owned him for 4 games straight Messi has played in an era where there are few great defenders....FFS
How come Rivera is not in this list? He dribbled past a GK who tried to punch him that is legendary stuff
You're a f-king idiot I swear.Garrincha would make a fool out of any defender..no doubt about that Defenders feared him that's why they look like clowns in highlight videos They were not bad defenders at all....they were also vicious as f*ck...like the Portugal players in 1966 WC when they were fouling Pele constantly almost breaking his leg and the ref was doing nothing
Probably better then today(there are not many great defenders currently) but not as good as 80's/90's/early 2000 to mid 2000's defenders that;s for sure
Just because the soccer in general is at a higher level now than in the 50's doesn't make them worse players. Maybe there were "great" defenders back in the day, but against today's players they wouldn't be as good.
You're just talking loads of Noobie BS Football is definetely at a low level now compared to 2000 to mid 2000's What happened is that Football evolved tactically Garrincha would still make a clown out of the best defenders nowadays
Right. Bobby Moore had nothing on Lescott, Schnellinger was no match for Boateng, and Facchetti is no Balzaretti.
I meant compared to the 50's smartypants. And you can't know that about garrincha since he just met poor defenders, but i really liked what i saw of him on youtube.
He played in the 60's too ya know(He played till 70's).And he pretty much won a WC on his own in 1962 And he played vs the likes of Djalma Santos and Carlos Alberto Torres in the Brazilian League
[Once again, "Howls, HOWLS of derisive laughter, Bruce!!" & !! Do you seriously believe that a "Der Kaiser" Beckenbauer, "Clockwork" Ocwirk, or Billy Wright wouldn't be a completely DOMINANT back-line defender in the more modern game?]
