Franco Panizo tweeted; "Miller and Richards involved in heated exchange here at training. Players had to restrain them from going at one another."
Gah so much for the improved locker room this year, hopefully it was just a heat of the moment thing.
I don't think it's necessarily a bad thing. I find it amusing that it involves two of the most criticized players in the squad, however.
My guess is they both would have made the wrong decision (and thinking they were making a good decision) and stepped away from one another, thereby completely missing each other.
I don't see that much criticism of Dane these days - that seems more 3 seasons ago or so. I personally think he's a solid MLS player, unlike Miller who is in the Ballouchy "faux-football player" camp.
It's not that ridiculous to see these things happen when you have guys in such a competitive environment. I think this is definitely more of a heat of the moment things where guys are trying to earn their spot.
This happens in pick-up basketball games, let alone pro soccer practices, so it's no big deal. It would be nice to know if it involved one player accidentally injuring another leading up to it, instead of such a vague Tweet.
