Which Josh did... and this was right before security threw him to the ground. As soon as David realized his PR mistake, he launched his hand out to say, "I just want to shake his hand!".

Whether you agree or disagree with the overall message, it's an epic photo that hit all major newspapers around the world.

For the record? The fan wasn't banned, Beckham paid a fine, and the Galaxy won the cup a few years later with David's help. AND THEY LIVED HAPPILY EVER AFTER.
