1-1 against Juve Stabia. Both goals were quality goals but Sampdoria's finishing was horrible once again. As a reference to Totocalcio, Iachini has been nicknamed "Mr X".

No, they're not. It looks like Gastaldello will go and maybe Palombo. At least Mac will go too.

After 2-1 win at Padova, Sampdoria drew 1-1 at home to Livorno. Pozzi scored from open play and then Paulinho equalised for the commies from a free-kick.

Angelo Palombo has been loaned out to Inter for the end of the season.

Pasquale Foggia scored the winner in our 1-0 win against Grosseto. Sampdoria are still mid-table though but we have a game in hand.

We drew 1-1 with Vicenza but we are still only a point away from the play-offs and our rivals had poor results too.

We are now in the play-off zone and four points ahead of Padova, with three rounds left. We face Juve Stabia, Pescara and Varese next and all of them will be tough. Pescara look likely to get automatic promotion and Varese are play-off rivals.

Sampdoria won 2-1 against Juve Stabia. This is what I had posted on a Sampdoria forum:

"IMO, it was a lucky win but I'm glad that we got it. We weren't anywhere near full strength so we needed some luck to go our way anyway.

Juve Stabia had more chances on target, especially in the first half. They were smart, quick and showed that they could play some good attacking football. Despite having a second-string attack and our #2 keeper playing, we kept our cool even after Pelle's sending-off and showed that we were smarter than them.

I couldn't pick a stand-out player for us but congrats to Icardi for finally getting a game. It has been long overdue and he won us the game on debut. Foggia played a part in the first goal and his dribbling was superb. The trequartista role suits him and with more passing efficiency, he can tear teams apart."

Sampdoria lost 3-1 to Pescara but we are still in the play-offs. We play Varese in the final round and they will be in the play-offs too.

I honestly feel pozzi cannot lead the attack by no means on his own...

Marilungo..where is he now btw??sampdoria need him badly..

He is long gone! He was a part of a massive exodus in which Garrone let go of many players. He left in January last year for Atalanta. He was usually rotating with Moralez last season and he was in good form before getting a season-ending injury.

Pozzi isn't always fit but when he is fit, he is awesome. Eder and him have formed a good partnership in the second half of the season and Foggia has done well in the hole, IMO. Juan Antonio can play in the hole too. Pelle` also had some good games when Pozzi was out.

I'm not sure now but Poli didn't play enough games to have his buy-out clause activated. Palombo is going to return but there's a chance that he will play for someone else in 2012-13.

If these reports are true that Samp players threw the second derby last year to get us relegated, I hope the ultras hunt them down wherever they are and beat the living shit out of them. And if the ultras were involved in the fix, then the rest of the fans need to beat the shit out of the ultras. Scum though they are, I can understand why the Genoa ultras demanded that their players remove the shirt, if they had an inkling this was going on.
