hello guys! I decided to create this thread for all people who love boots that are made in Japan! I am a Mizuno fan but not only mizuno's are made in Japan, there are boots from other brands too! Like this: Adidas Pathiqe X top Nike Super Ligera II Puma Para Mexico and of course Mizuno Morelia II Made in Japan So! let's post photos from our shoes, info and how to buy! Thanks and have fun
Fine by me....I don't want people to feel like they have to ask to start a new thread, but if something is SPAM or clutter we will close it. I am going to let this take some shape, as there are a lot of brands that make Japan only models, or make shoes in Japan for that market only. These shoes tend to be higher quality in their construction, because the Japanese market demands it, and people tend to like rare things. I say onwards and upwards here, unless it becomes redundant.
I changed the title to reflect Japan made and Japan exclusive models (like this adiPure). Keep up the good stuff.
I own the Para Mexico Lite Turf in White/Gold. They have the same fit as the Puma King TT but the forefoot is k-leather while the midfoot is made out of synthetic. They are much lighter the the TT, I feel I have better touch and they are built with higher quality. Definitely recommend them.
I'd like to know where you have purchased them from as well. And would love to see some pictures, I remember seeing a red/white colorway for those similar to the euro colorway puma are using. It looked wonderful.
Haha yeah! They look great, I was actually looking through a couple of the colorways for the Para Mexico and there isn't a single colorway I dislike. Is Rakuten and Ebay the only place to purchase them?
You can purchase from Rakuten and I think you should compare price with this website http://www.sports-ws.com/item/F123PU0128.html
Sorry, I forgot to add that yes, I brought them off of Rakuten indeed. The process is pretty painless and the turfs arrived within 2 weeks of ordering. I always like to buy boots in pair, 1 white and 1 black but instead of buying another pair of Para Mexico Lite, I brought a pair of Puma King TT. Now, I kind of wish I brought the black para Mexico Lite. Not that the Puma King TT is a bad pair of turf, it's just that the Para Mexico Lite are better. The Puma King TT took longer to break in (okay, 2 games, which is short by my standards) but I wore the Para Mexico Lite to a game without even walking around the house and they felt great. This speaks volume because I have very wide feet and usually, I require substantial break in time for each pair of soccer cleat before they feel comfortable. The touch on the Puma King TT's touch is good but the Para Mexico Lite is great as the leather is thinner than the King`s but not to the point where it is too thin. Overall, Puma King TT is a good pair of turfs but Para Mexico Lite is better.
yea i always wondered about the para mexico and the fitting! since they are designed for wider feet would people with narrow or "normal" feet fit the boots ok? are there Para mexico's that are normal fitting?
anyone's tried the puma powercat J's? Looks really good and I wanna give it a go but there doesn't seem to be anywhere on Rakuten that sells it.
I'm looking into new cleats, something along the lines of Morelia's, neo estrela's, super ligera and x-tops. Just wondering about how they are, comparisons to regular north american cleats, where to buy from and all that, Thanks
I have both the x-top and Morelia TM (artificial soleplate). I've also had the Morelia II Japan made. They are all great boots. The x-top has a stiffer soleplate and much shorter studs which was truly amazing for turf. U can't really go wrong with either but since I got my x-top in December I'm yet to use my morelias as I'm loving them. I feel in my opinion that the x-top has one of the best heel locks I've ever come across. At first it so tight but then mould to your heel. The x-top has a lower toe box compared to the morelia. The Morelia leather is ever so slighty softer but it has a Matt finish so it could be due to this. U can use all Morelia's and all do te x-top on turf. As I said they are both amazing boots and much better than any western boot so u really can't go wrong. Hope this helps
Rakuten is a website, kind of like the Amazon of Japan. There are only a very limited number of sellers that ship internationally and you contact them directly to their email with the product # of the item you want to purchase. Then you are invoiced from the seller and receive the boots usually in 3-5 days if your in the US.
Any where in the US? I've ordered stuff from China an it took me a good month to receive what I ordered. I live on the West Coast of the US.
I live in the West Coast aswell, Victorville to be exact. When I ordered my Wave Ignitus a month back it took 3 days for the package to get to me. They use Express International Mail it's really quick.
