Kanoute is out of contract and probly heading to Asia, this might open up a space for Ibusuki in the first team squad.

I was reading a Sevilla fan forum and the general consensus was that he's not in the plans for the first team.

Loan in Segunda or even in Primera would be great.

20 goals forward is a good business card, now we'll see what he will do in Olympic Games.

I think if he will BEAT the a** of the Spain NT U-23 (they are in the same group), Sevilla will recognize it...

Not really, the coach is still testing players.

A good way to see the difference.

    Toulon selection: Usami is in.
    Olympic selection: Kiyo is in.

Well I really hope both them will be in the Olympics. And I hope Miyaichi will be there too. More stronger players, more possibility to take a medal.

Guys the problem with La Liga is that they only can have 3 non EU players (home players) which results in a lot less chance for Ibusuki and the like. For instance

It doesn't mean anything. Serie A has 2 slots for non EU players only, instead some clubs choose to not use them on random brazilians and we have 2 japanese players.

And in Germany there will probably be 10 starting next season and in Netherlands there are 4

Its not a coincidence, well later on its also the experience clubs have with the players. Plus Spain is totally different mentality and culture, harder to get used to than Germany. For instance in Dortmund live the most Japanese people in Europe.

You didn't understand my post probably but I was saying what you said now: it's more about the mentality. It's true that there are leagues where it's easier to get non-eu players, like the Bundesliga above all.
But we still have 2 japanese players (it was 3 with Abe) even in England, with all his harsh rules, and 2 in Serie A. So, having a 3 players slot actually puts la Liga in a more favourable position. And we have only 1 player in La Ligue despite I think a 4-slots rule. So the reality is that japanese players still are not enough recognized outside the Bundesliga, unfortunately (don't think there's even any restriction in Eredivisie, we could've had as many as the Bundesliga). But I'm very optimistic on this.

Well if we look at England.

    1. England in Japan is saw as some holly grail of football. The best league and if we look at how players got there

    1. Miyaichi - Arsenal (Wenger was in charge of Nagoya, he is also investor in talent so one in there isnt such a shock)

    2. Tadanari Lee (he went to Championship but they qualified for EPL next year

    3. Kagawa atm is world class player so he could be from Congo for all clubs care. It is true that however if he makes it, that they will look more kindly towards Japanese players. But its simply for instance. If you just have 3 places for foreigners you are more reluctant to just give X player a try. If there are basically no limitations like in Germany you are far less restricted and so I think it is not strange that Eredivise and Bundesliga are like the jump point for Japanese players. Naturally after the initial bonuses the talent and true capabilities of Japanese players kicked in.

Well doesnt really matter. This year Olympics and than WC in 2012. If Japan does well on these two the trend will continue and Japan will have more and more players in Europe :)

It's not like that. There are three big leagues from Japanese perspective: PL, Serie and Liga with BuLi catching up with popularity recently. It also somewhat depends on the age of asked person I think.

You meant WC in 2014 :p
And don't forget the Confederation Cup in 2013!
Uh, I recognize now that the only "weak" team I believed it would be in the competition, Zambia, will be not cuz the winner of Africa Cup of Nations 2013 will be there (probably Ivory Coast?)... More tought for Samurai Blue! :cautious:

It depends. They did a very good WC in 2010. However on paper it's true.
