Caches are rebuilt. Search indices are rebuilt. Threads are imported (except 30k we are working on, from a while ago). Forum permissions should be fixed. Bugs and constructive suggestions go here now. Also, there are separate threads in this forum for mods without access and preemies with ads.
Got something of a problem with the newly added previous thread and next thread "tags" that are at the top and bottom of each thread page. Click once and you get the previous thread, click again and it drags up a thread from 2001 (this forum) and 2002 (Arsenal forum).
Haven't seen this listed anywhere else and perhaps I'm the only one that cares, but I'd always enjoyed being able to see where other posters were writing from. Is it possible to add Location back to the user info displayed under the avatar? And thanks for all the improvements made over the last few days. The site looks great.
How do you undo/post no status message? I posted a status message while testing new things and now I would like no status message. When I try to put in a blank, or spaces it gives an error. Thx, Jay!
I mentioned this in part 2 but did not see it addressed. The commands to edit text in "code" are not working for the imported threads (see: https://www.bigsoccer.com/community/threads/bbva-compass-stadium-all-events-2012.1936760/). Will this be fixed or should we re-do our posts that use this?
You know, this must be a trying time for all you guys at BS. Please pass along all our best wishes for your desire efforts to grow BigSoccer. Rep from Thumbs Up Guy
O.K once things settle down here, I would appreciate it if the links posted with Code function/work again. I have used Code and still use it when I do post large data, especially with info that is ongoing. e.g. https://www.bigsoccer.com/community/...ndal-latest-news.1926604/page-4#post-25651578 Suggestion: I would add some blue to this page https://www.bigsoccer.com/community kinda blah right now... .
Can you add a list of the forum's top trending topics to the lower left of the page? We need to know who the Beliebers and Directioners of this forum are. Thanx.
Can't post from my Kindle Fire(android). In the posting box, the keyboard never pops up. Old BS worked fine on the fire.
I am seeing ads now, and I can't find any info about my account in my profile. I should be good on the $$$ through mid-July or so (I think that's when I usually renew).
You've made this comment multiple times, and the thread order options are not what folks are asking about. I checked out the Thread Order options in this forum. They allowed me to reorder how the threads were listed. They did not reorder how posts within the threads are ordered. And, frankly, the thread reordering seemed to be temporary - moving back to default when I checked a thread and went back to the forum. What folks are asking for is the option to view the posts within each thread "newest post first", and have that be a global preference. On the old board it was in the same section where you could select how many posts per page you wanted to see, whether you wanted to see signatures, images, etc... The two most useful changes for me would be getting the "newest post first" back as well as MyBigSoccer. Thank you.
I'm seeing some assholes embed youtube videos in their sigs. Seriously, this just has to be disabled, like yesterday. Animated GIFs too.
Agreed. Without limitations, you'll see signatures be potentially 5x longer than the actual post. Ick.
Go to your profile page. Your status should be displayed as one of the comments on that page. Once you delete the comment, your status will disappear.
It creates a news feed of activity of the folks you find interesting. So I can follow Andy Mead and Knave and then go to my feed and just watch where they post and like to see what I'm gonna like.
What about a thread title at the bottom of the page? (even if small font) At my age, I'm lucky if I remember what country I'm in, let alone thread. For instance, I see I'm on page 2 of 2 of this thread, but have no idea what thread it is unless I scroll up or decipher it from the url (which proves to be harder on mobile devices).
