Is there any way to disable email alerts when someone starts a conversation with you?

I didn't see such an option anywhere.

mavericks67 Their forums are awful. Give it a few days. It's really not that different, I swear. Also, on the bottom left of your screen where it says "English" select "Espanol" and puedes leer los foros in su idioma.

Random question, the old system of friends had a feature where others had to accept. Now is it sort of like twitter where you simply follow and unfollow other members at will? Do other members know if you are following them? etc?

Next fix: Make the difference between read and unread thread more dynamic.

With the old software you could search within a specific thread.

Is there an equivalent with the new software?

At the very top, on the right side, there is a search text box. When you click in that it expands and there is a check box for "Search this thread only"

Before the change, one could go to the last post of a specific thread by clicking on a little arrow by the thread title. Will that feature be brought forth again? Or is it gone for good? Or, am I missing something and it's there just in a different place?

Thanks in advance for any help.

that feature was only available to unread post if i remember correctly.. if its the unread feature, now it is the blue dot before the thread title..

if you want to go to the last post click on the date stamp under the username in the last message column..

As I was going through a forum--let's say "Chileans Abroad" for the example's sake--as I went down various threads and I wanted to see the last post made on a specific thread by clicking on a little arrow, I'd be taken into said post.

Currently I see an option to go to the last page OR what I see the time/date of the last post.

The blue dot I am aware of: that I can use in "My Watched Threads" but thanks, that's not what my question was aimed at.

My understanding is that all you need do is click on the link constituted by the time/date of the last post and it will take you there. One proviso: that still does not work for threads that haven't had new posts since the upgrade. I assume that will be fixed eventually.

Still no toolbar available to users on Safari and iPad. In the second decade of the 21st century not supporting Apple products at the same functionality as wintel is both stupid and bad business. I guess I can stop paying if I am going to be a second class threadizen

In Wintel there is a toolbar that appears above the posting block which allows for font selection, size of print, bold, italics, color of post, selection of emoticons etc. not there is Safari on iPad. Not for me or any other iPad user,.

hell tey should have an app version of the software.

Can we please implement a feature that shows WHO IS ONLINE in each respective subforum. That was one of the best features of the old forum.

Will the "multi-quote" option be brought back??

The multi quote function is there, just not if you switch pages. If you are staying on the same page, just hit quote for each post you want to quote, and it will show at the bottom of the page (in the box you are typing). If you change pages, SOL. That needs to be fixed. That is an issue for those of use who can't post during the day/for a long period, yet read long or active threads.
