Still no access to Mod forums. I wonder about what the tools for modding are going to be (is infracting gone?)..

Can we change the color of the font for mods/supermods under the avatar?

The last page in the page count under every thread, can the page you're on be highlighted?

You've made this comment multiple times, and the thread order options are not what folks are asking about.

I checked out the Thread Order options in this forum. They allowed me to reorder how the threads were listed.

They did not reorder how posts within the threads are ordered.

And, frankly, the thread reordering seemed to be temporary - moving back to default when I checked a thread and went back to the forum.

What folks are asking for is the option to view the posts within each thread "newest post first", and have that be a global preference.

On the old board it was in the same section where you could select how many posts per page you wanted to see, whether you wanted to see signatures, images, etc...

The two most useful changes for me would be getting the "newest post first" back as well as MyBigSoccer.

    Thank you.

I would like to see the read and unread threads differentiated more clearly than bold and not bold type.

PHP tags are colored to begin with but I have not checked to see if you can change the color within.

No. There are clear posts by us as to what is not working, and this is simply repeating the things that we have publicly announced are not working. We are going as fast as we can.

I don't know if this is possible to bring back, but in the old BigSoccer, if you were creating a new post, went to another web site, and pressed the back button, your text would still exist in the same state as you left it. In the new BigSoccer, if you come back to a post you were editing, all your text is lost.

I think he means the Huss feature where if you use the at sign and then the user name it links to them. I kinda sorta like it although I hate it in theory.

I've decided my problem with the new emoticons is there is almost a gender associated with some of the smilies. I like the new fill-in for no avatar. That's a lot less annoying to look at.

I know you've received a lot of complaints re: telling whether or not threads have new posts. I think we'll get used to the little button before the title. I don't like the shading on the thread title and last poster's name. Just not as clean an interface this way.

I am noticing on some threads that when I click on the thread title, even if I haven't read that thread before, it takes me to the first "new" post of the thread.

Would like the old feature that would put the newest posts on the first page.

Edit: Also, could it be possible to make the background light yellow colour for new posts? It's easier to distinguish new and old posts then.

No, nothing's changed. May still be waiting on the caching to finish -- I dunno about that stuff. But I've used search to dig up old posts that were repped, and some of them have like/reps listed underneath them while others do not. I'm guessing it's just lost at this point -- a casualty of the upgrade.

I have 2 issues which I can't search the forums to see if they have already been reported:

    1. I can't search a forum or thread. I don't see any menu item to do this.

    2. I can no longer give a reply its own title. I realize probably 99% of people do not change the title of the reply. But I do that in my "soccer movies" thread so that I can easily find a specific movie posting. I guess it wouldn't help to have a reply title if there is no way to list them anyway. But thought i'd bitch anyway. Sorry! I do like the new look, especially on my iPad.

Lots of positive changes today -- including a better contrast for the page numbers at the top and bottom of the threads.

I'm not sure I'm a fan of highlighting the titles of threads with new posts. Looks like a highlighter. Kind of glowing and weird. I think I'd prefer no highlighting, but instead have bold text and a more visible "go to first unread post" icon.

I noticed that when I search by title, that EVERY reply that has the same title comes up. So it is finding lots and lots of individual posts as opposed to only the names of the entire threads that have the word I searched.

Generally, the site is looking great.

But, seriously, disable images in signatures. I'm already seeing animated GIFs and embedded Youtube links. The forum is going to become unreadable if more than a couple people do this.

I agree with this. People are linking to youtube videos as well.

I'd also like to see sigs disallow upsizing the font. I don't begrudge the Juve fans their elation at winning the title, but their sigs are mildly obnoxious right now.

The new format is growing on me.
I read through some of the comments, but not all, and sorry if this was discussed already.

The one thing that seems to bug me, is when you are on the https://www.bigsoccer.com/community/ page I feel like I do a lot of unnecessary scrolling. Is there a way to add arrows to collapse content or is there something esle that can be done to limit scrolling?

I agree about the need to be able to collapse forum categories.

But the real solution here is a new MyBigSoccer.

Hmm ... I wonder how far along we are with that ...

Should we expect the colors and theme to be somewhat finalized tomorrow? I know it's a work in progress so I don't want to make out of place observations about something that may simply be in testing for a few minutes. For example, I don't know if there will be a separation between the user name and member information next to posts. Right now there isn't.
