Heh, no, that's text I put in a long long time ago. It's the name of a Bootsy Collins album. You can replace "Well-Known Member" with something else if you want, too.

Nats game still going. May be a problem for Fairfax County folks.

Lineup is United's standard first choice lately (injuries notwithstanding):

    Willis
    Russell, Kitchen, McDonald, Woolard
    Cruz, Saragosa, De Rosario, DeLeon
    Pontius, Santos

Just ended. Hopefully we won't miss any of the DCU game.

If we win, Benny will seem a genius.

OTOH, if we lose, he'll be a goat, since he's essentially chosen to diminish what were much better chances of winning at Toronto for an improvement to a still-poor chance of winning at San Jose (given the makeshift defense and the three days "rest").

It will be interesting to see what lineup Olsen uses on Saturday now.

Vermes ran his starters out for a 3 games in a week stretch and finally lost to a pretty bad Portland team due to exhaustion in the 3rd game. Hopefully Olsen doesn't do the same.

QFT - But I'd rather Ben make the run for the post, then park the bus. With that said, he might figure to gun-sling for a *tie because the back-line is makeshift.

    Nice start!

If DeRo starts getting hot, things will look really good going into the summer. This team is just starting to bleed confidence, which is 40% of the game. The rest is 40% consistency, 10% skill, and 10% luck.

Way to go, Cox in Fairfax County, showing ESPN News on the channel the United game is supposed to be on instead of the game.

  15. This is the 3rd game they've done this with lately and this time I can't even watch it on Direct Kick -- because it's showing as being blacked out. Fffff....

Not on again. No reason for it this time. Showing Sportscenter instead. Completely unacceptable DCU front office.

Two goals in 2 minutes? That's horrible. Still would like to be able to see the game on my TV.

OK, this could go two ways...Either the two quick goals light a fire under the team and they fight hard the rest of the game for a tie or win, or our makeshift defense gets ripped apart. I'm really hoping for the former, but if the latter occurs, then I think that'll light the boys up for the next couple of matches...

Maybe this should be in the optimists thread.
