Earlier today their website said 4pm for this game and the next one, now their site says 7pm for both, which is better, weather-wise.

Going to assume it's on Field 1, which is the only one with some semblance of stands? Artificial surface?

Planning to go. We'll see, though.

I believe it is artificial surface, but it's definitely Field 1, based on attendance for their first home game, finding a seat should be no problem. ;)

    This is what I'm thinking.

Oh, and they've already parted ways with their coach. I guess losing their first three games by a combined 17-4 isn't the start they were looking for.

Yeah, I'm not overly optimistic about the future of the team, but I'll give all the support I can while they're here.

If you're interested (or anyone else from here that is considering going) me and whomever comes with me are going to hit up Catch 22 Sports bar at around 6, before the game.

    Here's a map from Catch 22 to Reach 11

Fun time at the game last night, folks in the crowd started to loosen up a bit after half time. A bad mistake in front of goal led to the Flash taking a 1-0 lead after just a few minutes. The Monsoon and Flash took turns with possession from then on with Monsoon looking stronger near the end of the game. The game finished at 1-0, but positive to me for the Monsoon, who looked much improved from the first game.

It was this kind of night for the local side:

[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2BtIod8oGNc"]San Diego Boca scores vs. Phoenix Monsoon 4/28/2012 - YouTube[/ame]

Up 2-0, lost 5-2, hit the crossbar on a late penalty that would have at least made it 5-3.

We'll get there, every game there have been improvements, for example we didn't have a goal at home before last night. Plus it will be much sweeter when FC Tuscon becomes a victim.

    Oh, two games ago.

Oh, yes, they are not a good team. Wasn't disputing that. Just saying it's so cute that you take it as some sort of point of pride.

I would be surprised if they get there, San Jose THEN San Fran. Somebody needs to care about this team in a financial way. I wouldn't be surprised if the administration, didn't calculate travel expense.

Edit: Nevermind, they are only playing San Fran at home this season.

You can calculate it. You still have to have the actual money.

See, you know how to take the reservation, but you don't know how to hold the reservation. And, really, the holding is the most important part. And you can calculate travel expense, but you have to actually fund it. And, really, the funding is the most important part.

They may very well have been unable to field a full team, we don't know. I think they only had like 14 guys at the game I went to. We'll see if they ever say anything.

Something that definitely didn't help in their last game was there was noone there to collect the money at the gate. Personally, I want to contribute to the team in this way, I would buy merch and pay for tickets which is money that could go to "Hold the Reservation" as you put it. Obviously I don't have the means to be a sponsor but man..........can I get a revenue stream amen?

I was told they couldn't charge admission to a game at Reach 11 unless they paid the city a significant sum. They'd have lost money on the deal if that was, indeed, the case.

Reach 11 is a good facility and it's 15 minutes from me, so, selfishly, I like it. And I'm not much for playing the game on a high school football grasstroturf field with permanent lines. But this team is an example of what happens when you try to do this with no money.

You are correct. Being a city facility does not make Reach 11 a viable venue where you want to charge admission. Last I heard, other local facilities(HS and College) were asking upwards of $2,000 per match for use of their fields.

So is it free to use the Reach 11?
