Well, the stench is gone and we have a great new man running the show. When I first found out the Caps were pursuing Furlong I thought it was a bit of a long shot. With them offering him ownership shares over time as part of his compensation; that should ensure he is here for the long haul. When they finally made it public, I think it is a great day for the club! Looking forward to the Furlong Era.

Part of his compensation is some sort of piece of the club given out over time. Not a huge piece; but definitely shares. This is common in the corporate world where CEOS get stock and such. It helps them keep his salary at a more reasonable level and also keeps him committed long term I would think.
