Who gives a shit of what "someone" calls him. Oh, other than you that is. Nobody seemed to mention that Luis is of mixed race with his "African, South American" Father... Black that is! I think Jono gave the right responce, rather than sticking his head in the sand and hoping it'll go away. Like you seem to want him to. All kinds of people will do their share of name calling and racist is a favourite one to use. I care more about Jono and Luis than listening to them.
It is refreshing to hear real opinions from someone these days instead of, We'll take it one match at a time, the boys showed real heart out there today, we're disappointed, but (insert team here) played well today, we can't take that away from them..........

The answer doesn't mean he goes or stays. Frankly on present form I would have to consider a silly offer if I was LFC.
Agree with this. The only one I'd be concerned about retaining is Reina (assuming Gerrard is locked in). I hope he continues to take the long term view of the club's prospects - this year is turning out to be pretty dreary.

A genuine question: Did Gerrard ever publicly back the manager and take blame, along with the other players, when Rafa was coach?
First result in google search. You lazy ********er http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...r-blame-clubs-woes-blasts-Steven-Gerrard.html
That's quite a different approach from Kenny though who said they were unlucky to lose and the performance was good.
An interesting little story. Remember the volcanic ash cloud a few years ago? Liverpool had to travel to Madrid to play Atletico in the UEFA. They went by train to London -> Paris and flew to Madrid. On the return, they flew as restrictions had been lifted. Anyhoo, one carriage for the players, one for the backroom team and suits. Benitez sat in the player carriage the whole way to Paris staring at Carragher and Gerrard talking to Purslow in the other carriage. Mind you, as one of his last acts after Benitez was fired, it was nice of Purslow to give the aging, creaking, 32 year old center half Carragher a two year contract extension.
The ageing, creaking Carragher had played 37 of the previous season's 38 league games as opposed to his two younger competitors, Agger and Skrtel, who were injured for large parts of 09/10. Lets ignore the fact that Carragher has been a fantastic servant to the club and remember that 14 months before he was offered this new contract we suffered losing the experienced Hyypia. Super GaryMc was in his mid 30's in our treble season, Didi was in his 30's when he came on in Istanbull, Bellamy at 32 was given a 2 year Liverpool contract and that fella who scored a hatrick against the bitters a few nights ago is 32 himself in a few months. By all means give Purlsow shit for signing Cole but a contract extension for Carra??
I thought I left a big enough gap between the second and third paragraphs to allow people to read between the lines. Maybe not.
I'm not following. Benitez sat in the player's carriage, and Gerra/Carra sat in the "suits" carriage with Purslow? If they were in separate carriages, how could they see each other?
