Who really impressed me in the Apoel game was Nuno Morais. He was instrumental with his passing, Scholes like on the day.

Quaresma in hot water with Besiktas coach, Carlos Carvalhal. Being left out of the squad as a disciplinary action

Not sure whats going on, Nani not starting or even on the bench today, Veloso on the bench, Meireles taken off after 37min yesterday(for Mata after Stoke went down a player so makes sense) and Bruno Alves no longer a starter, even
Martins was no where to be seen for Granada today.

What the hell is happening? will the only starting players in the NT come Euro be Ronaldo, Pepe, Moutinho and J Pereira.

Nani is being rested and given time to come back into the squad. Veloso has been on and off the bench for a while. Bruno Alves has been first of the bench for Zenit for around a year now, and its something I don't even understand.

Nani has recently come back from injury.

Veloso is average, and thats why hes on/off the bench

Meireles has reverted back to crap pre liverpool meireles, horrible.

    Martins was injured too.

Bruno Alves is 50/50..depends i think on the type of style the opposition employs.

Manuel Fernandes will probably go to premier league with 10-15 million euro.

Quaresma is not going to wear Beşiktaş jersey next year.

Almeida and Simao may go to too.

I dont think new president will work with Carvahal.

Carvahal is really good man,not just Beşiktaş fans, all turkish fans love him but he thinks here is Portuguese league and Beşiktaş is Braga. There are 20 points difference Beşiktaş and leader,he says "It's good"

Yes, nice goal with the left just outside the box.

Anyone see Meireles today, only caught the second half but he looked like he was in his liverpool form.

2 assist, 1 goal. Made a lot of forward runs, had great vision and distributed really well.

Nani's injury must be more serious then I first read, still not even on the bench.

Looks like Fernandes had another great game. I just saw the highlights and wow what a goal he scored. And he had a hand in the other 3 goals.

He's having a great season and now he could be on his way to Tottenham. The media is reporting a 17 million Euro offer from the London based team. Interesting rumor.

What a move and play by Fernandes. Tottenham would be an excellent fit for him. He would most likely replace Modric in the middle and pull the strings.

You beat me to it. JF Christ what a performance. Goals 2 and 5 show the absurd range of talent of this guy - strength, speed, technique, dribble, passing, rifle shot. Sick stuff.

Which brings up the question we debate every month or so here: why oh why aren't we watching him doing this at a top 5 club day in and day out already?!

Let's hope the Tottenham story is true. That might be a good destination. OTOH, let's remember Inter send him back after a physical a couple of years ago. He might be damaged goods and we just don't know why.

Either way, I hope very much to see him catch the flight to Poland.

Another rumor has Real Madrid interested...
    http://www.abola.pt/nnh/ver.aspx?id=322257

Unlikely to be sure but would love to see him there. Real could use a speedy, box-to-box MF who can tackle. Instead of playing Pepe the destroyer out of position to roughhouse Messi, they could have a proper MF doing the job that Xabi, Khedira, Ozil, Kaka, etc, etc are never going to do. And unlike Lass, Manelete could actually pass and bring the ball forward too...

Again, this ain't going to happen. Probably just false stories planted by agents and/or Besikhas. But interesting to think about...

I wouldn't disregard that rumor. Real is probably interested because of Mourinho. Remember when he was coaching for Inter, he asked for Manny and everything was a done deal but he failed the medial at the last second.

But to be honest, I don't think it would the right move for him. Hes not a DM, he could play there but he seems uninterested in just playing in that position. Lass provides more cover and energy at the position. The reason he is doing so well because he is only playing offence in the CM position at Beskitas. The coach removed the shackles.

Also in Real he would be fighting with so many players already for the CM/CAM position...Xabi, Kaka, Ozil, Khedira.

A move to Tottenham, Liverpool, Roma, Atheltico or back to Benfica/Porto is more his alley right now.

Agree with what you said apart from this. In Real's 4-3-3, Oezil and Kaka are, especially the latter, more often than not, assigned for the most advanced positions, out wide.

In my opinion, with Xabi an irreplaceable figure, only a Sahin's rise to proeminence would affect his playing time, coming out on top of a selection between Khedira, Granero and L. Diarra. I believe that would be the case even with Oezil as a midfielder; Fernandes could play behind Oezil, alongside Alonso.

For me that already leaves a highly offensive setup & team, more open. They would have no designated DM. Lord knows Manny isn't really consistent at that position, and has mental lapses with regards to track back.
