Cheech is improving. He had some nice touches with Rooney up front. I think he will get to where he needs to be. This has just been a stop-start campaign for him.

    ...

Chelsea are about where they should be in the table based on their squad and manager. Same for us.

Avb lost that game for Chelsea with his changes. Meanwhile, fergie won it for us with his.

Amazing game. Poor to come out and concede two quick goals but the comeback was amazing. You could see Chelsea were on the backfoot from the first goal.

Anyone know when Nani is expected back?

All he does is score goals. All he is capable of is scoring goals.

    Useful talent, though.

Who cares what people say? Seeing is not the same as understanding.

I meant in terms of general attitude here. This forum gets pretty unreadable at times for people drifting into hyperbole about how shite Rooney has been. Amdrag's definitely a catalyst, however much he thinks he's just defending the man. But it usually isn't objective here from either side.

As for today, he was well off during play, save for those crucial contributions. Two great pens and good work to get off the shot that led to Giggs setting up Cheech.

    Great Comeback.

Happy with the point, and that save at the end from De Gea was fabulous.

The defending for their goals was poor though.

Ssshhhbh the Rooney bashing is going overboard.

    ------

    Chelsea were not good either.

My head tells me SAF was scared of the threat of Torres since he always plays well against us. Thats why we played deeper than usual and more cautious than usual.

I think in reality we should have gone at them full force from the opening whistle. The pace of our passing was very poor initially with Carrick, Giggs and Rooney all misplacing passes early in rhe game. So that obviously didnt help.

The DeGea save was highlight reel stuff. That is the type of save you can watch over and over again and it does not get tired.

In ddg's defense. That save on the fk was incredible. I was screaming at him to stop shading so far to one side before the kick, but I had no idea he had that kind of range.

Also, was disappointed by rio's organization on the 3rd goal. And disappointed carrick didn't stand up for himself and his positioning as I think he saw that coming before the kick was taken. He listened to rio instead.

I feel like that freekick, if he was going to shoot it, was always going to go to the wall side, because it was too far out for any other option. Not taking anything away from DDG, but I feel he knew that and thats helped obviously.

This is downright wrong. Just because some like to act like my statements are over the top, doesn't mean they are. Like when I mentioned that our link up play was much better when Rooney started reintegrating into the squad last season. johno turned it into "You're saying Rooney invented link up play" and the rest of the haters jumped on board with it.

You guys act like I don't see or acknowledge Rooney's flaws, when I clearly do. Of course when I do it is because I am trying to look "unbiased", when the truth is, that almost every time Rooney makes an error, no matter what anyone else does or doesn't do, it is mentioned on this board by at least 3 posters.

Rooney isn't a talisman, he hasn't ever carried this side, he is the worst "star" in the world, we should sell him because he sucks. That is what this board has turned into. That I ever say different makes me a fanboy and that is bullshit.

Teso has turned into a parody of himself at this point. No longer WUM merchant, just a troll.
