i know the pattern on our newish national kits has been used numerous times (perhaps even same colour) but i'm watching the rangers in their third kit for the first time and it looks exactly like ours heh
Does it? Put a picture up. And yep friendly in February against Armenia should be an interesting match was hoping for a friendly this month but at least we got one. Hope to find out that we got more games planned before the WCQ starts again.
i think this is around the time stephen hart said he was going to meet with JD2 in europe for the first time, and he seems very likely to play if the citizenship details can be worked out. might continue not hearing much from hoilett.
I really hope Canada can make it into the next WC. However, can you please tell me, why, why, why in the world are the tickets for Canada's WC qualification games so damn expensive??? A few months ago, I was realy set on watching Canada play St. Lucia at BMO field. I wanted to take my wife and we would have to pay close to $150-$200 for the both of us!!!! I really want to support Canada in its quest, but I seem its very difficult to do it I been to other WCQ matches in the past and paid a fraction of that price for a half-decent seat. I watched South Korea and Poland for the WC06 edition (both at home) and Trinidad-Tobago for the WC10 edition. Even going to see Roma at the Stadio Olympico was a little cheaper. What's the deal???
i have found more respect for olivier occean having seen him play a bit more at club level now. i'm still not sure how or if he fits in to better international competition but i got a better indication of his abilities, especially aerially.
I don't remember, I know it was one of the medium seats. $25 dollars is a normal price to pay. Do you know what the prices will be like for the coming WCQ games ? I used to play junior soccer with Julian Guzman and Mike Klukowski and I would love to see them at the WC in 2014. This will be the last chance
It depends on which section you look at, but people are expecting the lowest price to be something like $20-25. They're officially announcing it on February 2nd.
Thanks, I will go then (if its in TO) I like the HON match on June 12, it will be during Euro 12... then it should be good hype. I really want Canada to make it to the last round casue it would be fantastic to have USA and Mexico here. For that I would pay the bloody $150 (2 tickets that is) I only hope that at least one of these games will be in TO.
i wonder if any other top 100 national team has brothers in the starting XI? i'm more stoked on the possibility of JDG2 than hoilett to be honest.
As of right now I don't know, but not so long ago England had both Gary and Phil Neville in their starting XI.
The Ivory Coast has the Toure brothers that are both starters. In CONCACAF El Salvador has the Alas brothers that are also both starters. Then there is Ghana and Germany that had the Boateng brothers in their WC squads I imagine there are others but those are the ones of the top of my head.
From what I recall, the Ghana-Germany game in WC2010 marked the first time in FIFA history that two half-brothers met in an international competition. However, there has yet been two full brothers meeting against each other.
Other brother pairings that might happen soon in CONCACAF is the Dos Santos brothers for Mexico I figure we should see that this qualifiers. Honduras has the Palacios brothers although I don't know if they have played a game together yet.
CSA just announced that all games this round will be held in Toronto. I live in Toronto and even I don't agree with this decision.
last time an important match was in montreal they got outcheered. vancouver is just a dumb option. where else?
They've been outcheered many times in Toronto as well. I don't know why Vancouver would be considered a dumb option. What's your basis for saying that?
Vancouver isn't an option because the players refuse to play on turf. Montréal isn't an option because Stade Saputo is under construction and is already experiencing delays on its opening date. Moncton isn't an option because the players don't want the difficulty of extra flights and lower quality practice facilities. Toronto is selected because it was built to be our national stadium, and is currently the only natural grass SSS in operation in the country.
