This letter has three main sections. In the first, I argue that Tall Tower Man is unconstrained by conscience. In the second, I make it clear that Tall Tower Man seems to have no trouble sweet-talking scurrilous pushy-types into helping it spread ruin widely through the land. And in the third and final section, I conclude that it hopes to further its geopolitical ambitions by overthrowing democratic political systems. So, without further ado, I present you with this all-important piece of information: We must all face the storm and stress of shouting back at its propaganda. This exercise will, at the very least, demonstrate to the world that it has long been obvious to attentive observers that Tall Tower Man has been a faithful servant of gin-swilling interests for as long as I can remember. But did you know that the natural result of its complaints is an intolerance that, in the long run, tends to convert our children to cultural zombies in a mass of unthinking and easily herded proletarian cattle? It doesn't want you to know that because its subversive form of sadism is like a forest fire. Once it is started, none can set bounds to the resulting conflagration. The only option is to disseminate as widely as possible all of the information we have regarding Tall Tower Man's gormless jibes. While doing so won't put a stop to sadism, it will demonstrate decisively that there may be nothing we can do to prevent Tall Tower Man from making good on its word to destabilize the already volatile social fabric that it purportedly aims to save. When we compare this disturbing conclusion to the comforting picture purveyed by its expositors, we experience psychological stress or "cognitive dissonance". Our only recourse is to name and shame Tall Tower Man's disciples for their morally questionable acts of lexiphanicism. Someone once said to me, "Tall Tower Man and other voices of hooliganism have joined in a chorus singing the praises of violating the basic tenets of journalism and scholarship." This phrase struck me so forcefully that I have often used it since. Tall Tower Man is not just profligate; it's raucous, too. Tall Tower Man's subalterns are too lazy to encourage individuals to come out of their cocoons and flourish. They just want to sit back, fasten their mouths on the public teats, and casually forget that the point is that if everyone spent just five minutes a day thinking about ways to give parents the means to protect their children, we'd all be a lot better off. Is five minutes a day too much to ask for the promise of a better tomorrow? I sure hope not, but then again, Tall Tower Man's faculty for deception is so far above anyone else's, it really must be considered different in kind as well as in degree. There are two things we need to do right away. First, we need to suggest the kind of politics and policies that are needed to restore good sense to this important debate. Second—and this is critical so get out your highlighter—we need to shout back at its propaganda. Once those two things are accomplished we can finally start discussing how if you hear Tall Tower Man spouting off about how it is a master of precognition, psychokinesis, remote viewing, and other undeveloped human capabilities, you should tell it that it speaks with such certainty and self-confidence that its worshippers are totally convinced that Tall Tower Man is an institution of morality, achievements, and noble qualities, one that often sacrifices its own reputation or safety in order to pursue that which is right and those things that truly matter. Better yet, tell Tall Tower Man to stop getting its opinions from mealymouthed, incompetent exhibitionists and start doing some research of its own. No one can deny that our attempts to offer true constructive criticism—listening to the whole issue, recognizing the problems, recognizing what is being done right, and getting involved to help remedy the problem—have so far served only as a divertissement for Tall Tower Man and its operatives, yet I hope that Tall Tower Man's punishment fits its crime. As long as I live, I will be shouting this truth from rooftops and doing everything I can to solve the problems that are important to most people. Tall Tower Man's latest manifesto, like all the ones that preceded it, is a consummate anthology of disastrously bad writing teeming with misquotations and inaccuracies, an odyssey of anecdotes that are occasionally entertaining but certainly not informative. It's not necessarily difficult to debate the efficacy of Tall Tower Man's chthonic announcements. We can begin simply by beginning a course of careful, planned, and coordinated action. See? I told you it wasn't necessarily difficult. We just need to remember that while Tall Tower Man and other bleeding-heart soi-disant do-gooders sometimes differ on the details and scale of their upcoming campaigns of terror they never fail to agree on the basic principle and substance. Hence, it is imperative that you understand that it never stops boasting about its generous contributions to charitable causes. As far as I can tell, however, Tall Tower Man's claimed magnanimousness is absolutely chimerical, and, furthermore, if a cogent, logical argument entered its brain, no doubt a concussion would result. Tall Tower Man has a knack for convincing obnoxious Philistines that it is the most recent incarnation of the Buddha. That's called marketing. The underlying trick is to use sesquipedalian terms like "hydrometallurgically" and "individualistic" to keep its sales pitch from sounding uninformed. That's why you really have to look hard to see that Tall Tower Man wants to identify political and religious groups that are its political enemies and re-label them as "witless big-labor bosses" in order to justify operations against them. What's wrong with that? What's wrong is Tall Tower Man's gossamer grasp of reality. Tall Tower Man seems to be involved in a number of illegal or borderline-illegal activities. For it and its bedfellows, tax evasion and financial chicanery are scarcely outside the norm. Even financial fraud and thievery seem to be okay. What's next? Controlling what we do and how we do it? I can say only that the purpose of this letter is far greater than to prove to you how pernicious and amateurish Tall Tower Man has become. The purpose of this letter is to get you to start thinking for yourself, to start thinking about how if it truly wanted to be helpful, Tall Tower Man wouldn't conduct business in a raving, splenetic way. As a practical matter, if Tall Tower Man manages to abandon me on a desert island, our nation will not endure as a civilization, as a geopolitical entity, or even as a society. Rather, it will exist only as a prison, a prison in which prolix sewer rats force us to bow down low before what I call sophomoric, hateful bozos. We must fix our sights on the distant future, when we will have finally cleared away the spiritual and physical debris of the Tall Tower Man era. But I digress. Tall Tower Man attracts paltry, corrupt hedonists to its flock by telling them that its fairy tales are intelligent, commonsensical, and entirely consonant with the views of ordinary people. I suppose the people to whom it tells such things just want to believe lies that make them feel intellectually and spiritually superior to others. Whether or not that's the case, Tall Tower Man can't possibly believe that it never engages in foolish, voluble, or obstreperous politics. It's depraved but it's not that depraved. Regardless of what philanthropic enthusiasts or visionary dreamers may say about corporate perfectibility, in public, Tall Tower Man promises that it'd never concoct labels for people, objects, and behaviors in order to manipulate the public's opinion of them. In private, however, it secretly tells its confreres that it'll do exactly that. I think we've seen this movie before: It's called Business as Usual for Tall Tower Man. No one can be right all of the time. That's self-evident, and even Tall Tower Man would probably agree with me on that. Even so, it is eating our lunch. (Note the heroic restraint stopping me from saying that Tall Tower Man's mercantalism-oriented accusations are a source of consternation for those of us who want to rebuild our communities.) Unfortunately, snarky, pharisaical vulgarians who turn simpletons loose against us good citizens make no effort to contend with the inevitable consequences of that action. I had thought the world was free of stolid slumlords. So imagine my surprise when I discovered that Tall Tower Man wants to prosecute, sentence, and label people as irrational yokels without the benefit of any evidence whatsoever. To put it crudely, Tall Tower Man takes things out of context, twists them around, and then neglects to provide decent referencing so the reader can check up on it. It also ignores all of the evidence that doesn't support (or in many cases directly contradicts) its position. The facts are in: Tall Tower Man is like a jellyfish in that you can't see its stings coming.
Indeed. One cannot help but to observe in a state of formidable incomprehension how such a “Super Moderator” such as Tall Tower Man could persist in allowing this thread to evolve into mutually interpenetrative consciousness as is the current precarious stasis between Big Soccer posters and the aforemented “Super Moderator.” If this is so, then there can be no single, specially privileged moment of transition, no radical alterity such as Levinas demands. Similarly, one must question the superego of the “Super Moderator” of note, vis-à-vis the continued and seemingly interminable existence of this thread. What follows from these precise distinctions is that, for Lacan, superego- and by extension the “Super Moderator” in question- has nothing to do with moral conscience as far as its most obligatory demands are concerned: the superego is, on the contrary, the anti-ethical agency, the stigmatization of Tall Tower Man’s ethical betrayal. It is my contention that the superego of the “Super Moderator”, with its excessive feeling of guilt, is merely the necessary obverse of the Ego-Ideal: it exerts its unbearable pressure upon us on behalf of our betrayal of the "law of desire." The guilt Tall Tower Man experiences under the superego pressure is not illusory but actual -the only thing of which one can be guilty is of having given ground relative to one's desire, and the superego pressure demonstrates that Tall Tower Man is effectively guilty of betraying the collective desires of BigSoccer posters through complicit facilitation of interpenetrative threads, which cannot have any end but to the fetishization of BigSoccer.com authorities and other such discourses (truly in the foucauldian sense), digital sennets suffused with the unmistakbale stench of imbrication.
It isn't as cool as it seems: that lightning storm thingy destroyed my house and car. They don't mention that part of it in the literature.
Well, that sucks, but I'm sure the pay and babes compensate for that. So has the reign of BS's biggest coward of a SuperMod (TTM that is), finally ended?
LoL....Don't flatter yourself. You still using the word wetbac-k on the internet or have you graduated to real life in the barrio? Right. I thought so. Hell, I'll even drive you to Oxnard, Ca, where I grew up and give you a bullhorn to use in Colonia Park.
