Hes a late '95 from Santa Cruz, Cali and a former u15/u17 nats member. Supposedly hes joining the academy in December.

from a local story about club vs high school soccer.

    There are two of them:

At 12 years of age he was picked by famed Italian club AC Milian to train at their youth academy. Anthony got the opportunity to play in AC Milian’s historic San Siro Stadium and scored a goal during a game. At the age of 12 he also flew to England to play in the Umbro Cup in Manchester England. At 13 he played and trained with renown English Premiership club Everton FC. Over the last few years Anthony has made numerous District Olympic Development (O.D.P.) teams, the State O.D.P. team, and was recently held over at the Regional O.D.P. camp to play the New Zealand U17 National Team.

Anthony is a '92 at San Diego State.

People from Italy believe that story to be made-up or the facts are poorly written.

Association football is the proper/official name for what we call soccer.

    Apparently he'll go this summer:

Former Soquel High star Lynden Gooch, 16, has signed a professional soccer contract with Sunderland AFC of the English Premier League.

Gooch signed a three-year deal for an undisclosed amount last Friday, said his father Paul, who coaches Soquel's girls soccer team.

Sunderland AFC began life as "Sunderland & District Teachers Association Football Club", founded in 1879 by James Allan, a teacher at Hendon Board School. His object was to provide "recreational amusement" for the area's schoolteachers.

In 1881 the club's name was changed to Sunderland Association Football Club, and non-teachers were allowed to join.

Thanks to wikipedia. Seems they were one of the first AFCs.
