So help me out a little guys. If any of these teams end up Champs or Runner's up in the liguilla do they still compete in the cup or do they head over to the CONCACAF Champions League
They still can play both tournaments because Libertadores starts from January thru June and the Concacaf Champions League doesn't start till August.
We still don't know the names of various teams that will play, since their season hasn't ended yet. But so far we have: First Stage/Qualifying Round Tigres vs. Chile 3 Group Stage Group 6 Brasil 2 Deportivo Tachira (Venezuela) Paraguay 2 Cruz Azul Group 7 Velez Sarsfield (Argentina) Ecuador 1 Defensor Sporting (Uruguay) Chivas
A few seasons ago I would have picked Cruz azul to get second place, but the only signing they made was bravo. Disappointing, though they still have one foreigner spot. Tigres had a chance to do really well.
I heard yesterday that Tuca again said that their top priority is the Mexican tournament. Surprising that a Brazilian doesn't give two sh!ts about Copa Libertadores.
Typical Tuca result. His record in away games in Libertadores isn't very impressive, 2 ties and 5 loses.
Didn't get to watch the game but watched the highlights, pinche Cerda is right - wtf was that. Anyways im confident we can get the result especially at home with a full strength side.
That's the problem. Tuca mostly registered pure noobs. No Lobos, Salcido, Juninho, Damian Alvarez, etc.
FT Arsenal S. 3 - 0 Sport Huancayo FT El Nacional 1 - 0 Libertad FT Union Espanola 1 - 0 Tigres FT Internacional 1 - 0 Once Caldas FT Real Potosi 2 - 1 Flamengo
why wouldn't tuca want to go all out for the libertadores? wouldn't tht mean more revenue for the club?
