Lets look at your beloved italy, first 2 cups are currupt, and antiquated, so brush them off.

1982 world cup.......3 shots on goal, scored 3 goals.......is that not luck? Then in 2006 they only defeated 1 top tier team in that tournament (germany). I don't remember a single time a world cup has been 1, with only 1 top tier team having been defeated.

Also in 2008, the refs were heavily favoring italy, and I remember 4 seperate incidents where Spain should of been awarded a penalty, but as usual (wc 94) the italians are allowed to cheat without reprisal.

It is not Spains fault, that France or Netherlands didn't advance to face them in the semis, russia were the better side.

Had Germany won in 2008 how would you feel about it? I'm not sure how you feel about Spain, but had they won it, would they have one the EC without defeating a top tier team? would that take off some of the cups prestige?

Ultimately this boils down to a portuguesa, hating on spain

Again you make some fair points....but I would point out that sometimes Germany starts slowly in tournaments and seems to get better as the tournament progresses....these then result in winning a pk shootout somewhere along the way (1986, 1990) or not having to play a decent team along the way to the final (2002)

Arshavin was solid with Arsenal for a couple of years. Now he's old, so he's been quite poor, but in 2008 he was still in his prime and a very good player.

I can't think of any either. Although looking at other tournaments, Porto won the 2004 Champions League by beating only 1 top tier club. So lets just write that off as a fluke while we're at it.

Over rated under rated does it really matter. You could have a country like India or Canada which is not even rated.

And how do you know this???
You think Pirlo and Gattuso would have outplayed Iniesta and Xavi???

And judging by how Italy played in that competition, they weren't good at all, sorry.

    Wow look whos talking Spain!!!
Your bubble will burst sooner than you think.
To trash talk Italy I would not mind, Brazil, Germany, Argentina, and maybe France or England, but the eternal failures Spain I would not agree!!!
you guys should remain in the dark ages where you belong and no where else.
even Holland is ranked higher than you.

Italy is not the same caliber as spain, ok?

I would take the color over the black and white any day. Uruguay is a decent side but in comparison with England they so not match up even with 1 additional W.C.

Who cares about color tv? Professional football started 100 years ago, not 40.. Poor guy, you must also think that Messi is the best player in history because now you can see him play with LED tv's

Plus, who cares about who won more world cup matches? We won more WORLD CUPS, end of story, go argue with a Spaniard or a French.. It's like me arguing with an Italian or a Brazilian saying Uruguay is better

    Like I said

More world cups (England 1, Uruguay 2)
More international cups (England has 3 official cups, Uruguay 20)
    More matches won against England

P.S : England has 34 home championships, not 54... Doesn't matter though, it's not an official FIFA tournament, it's like if I counted these cups :

    Copa Lipton (11): 1905, 1910, 1911, 1912, 1919, 1922, 1923, 1924, 1927, 1929 y 1973.
    Copa Newton (10): 1912, 1913, 1915, 1917, 1919, 1920, 1922, 1929, 1930 y 1968.
