JPP made his Crawley (re-)debut today as he came on in the 64th minute of a 3-0 home loss to Swindon Town.

It appears Gillingham tried and failed for a 2nd time to sign Pittman. They made an offer but he decided to join Crawley. Pittman is on loan at Crawley until January but hasn't been playing much at all. He came on in the 75th minute today and scored in the 85th as Crawley beat Dagenham & Redbridge 3-1. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/15346286.stm
Pittman has been out with a thigh injury. He played with the reserves yesterday and scored a goal as Crawley beat Burton Albion Reserves 5-0 http://www.crawleytownfc.com/page/LatestNews/0,,11025~2524391,00.html Crawley are in 2nd place in League Two. Last weekend they beat Oxford 4-1. Even if he was fit Pittman wouldn't have been able to play in the game due to the terms of his loan.

More talk on taking Pittman back on a permanent basis. "We sold him when we needed money and we've brought him back, and if we could keep him fit then we might look to do something in January but that's a long time away yet."

Good for JPP - really tearing it up in his first few days back at Oxford. I bet he is one of the top 5 American scorers in England in last 3-4 years.
The good thing about Pittman is he wont just score goals he will always create them. At Crawley we used him as a winger, on the right, to cut in. Not sure what his preferred position is but i guess with any player as long as their playing they don't care where! I went to the game monday at their place and he is such a handful. We hand 3 on him and he still managed to cut in and score a cheeky goal. Its good to see him getting to game time at oxford, i'm sure if that changes our gaffa will take him off oxfords hands. We were under the impression he would be returning to us this month but i think with his form at oxford he will be staying there, just hopefully they keep believing in him, on his day and with some confidence i think he could play championship football with ease. Look forward to seeing him keep causing damage.....or maybe not so we can snatch him back!

An interesting note. JPP scored against ex-Wycombe teammate goalkeeper Scott Shearer for his goal against Crawley (and I guess now ex Crawley teammate). I think Oxford are playing a 4-3-3 so Pittman is being used on the wing BTW I tweeted JPP about the unofficial scoring stat and he replied saying he appreciates the support. I checked an Oxford message board and everyone seems very happy for JPP. They even came up with a new chant to the tune of "Just Can't Get Enough"
After playing with Scott Shearer at Wycombe and Crawley i wonder if he knew something we didn't, but he looked hungry for goals when we played them and whether on the wing or up front i'm sure he will keep notching some. I think a lot of people wrote him off after the not so good start at oxford so its good to see him get his head down and do well, we don't know what goes on behind closed doors at football clubs. A note on his stats in the last 4 years from 2007 (when he first joined us) to 2011 he scored 37 goals and in 2012 he's scored 2. I looked at his record and when wycombe were in league 1 he managed to score 10 goals when he was mainly used as a sub, thats not bad going because i think they got relegated that year too?
Wycombe were relegated after that season. They were actually promoted to League One based on goal difference and I don't think they were really ready for the step up. Pittman was 2nd in scoring that season behind Matt Harrold who had 10 goals overall (he is now at Bristol Rovers).

Pittman scored an early goal for Oxford today. However, the real story of the match is his teammate Duberry, who put 2 in his own net and then salvaged a point by scoring on the correct goal in the 90th.

Oxford finished in 9th place. JPP had another injury hampered season. In all competitions including his time at Crawley he played in 19 games (7 starts, 13 sub) scored 4 goals and provided 3 assists. He has one year left on his contract. In other news Wycombe, the team JPP helped get promoted to League One last season, were relegated to League Two
