Wow. Pretty impressive from our girls. I hope they get some friendlies against some other teams.

Well, the Jalisco team they had already beaten before, and these teams are (obviously) not at their level. That said, it is positive to come back with three wins and supposedly playing a little better.

I doubt there will be any other friendly prior to the big day on Jan 20, when we face Mexico.

On that thought, wouldn't it be good if they practiced regularly against local men's teams. You know, to get used to physically stronger opponents.

That's too bad, it'd be great to have a least 1 game the week before. Either way i'm happy that we did well.

Yeah, ideally you would want to have a warmup of some kind in early January, but nothing has been announced as far as I know. Mexico, for instance, is playing against a 2nd-tier US club in Jan. the week before (link). So they are obviously testing themselves against an opponent of the USWNT style, something our team hasn't done -- that's why I have the idea of them facing a men's team.

Maybe after the LNFFG final of tomorrow there might be some more news about preparation.

That'd be a great idea. See how they react to a faster stronger team.

Estan probando jugadores.

No saquen conclusiones de torneos Xs, "Copa Mickey Mouse", etc. Big deal.

Just saw this article on Gary Muir, Scottish player who joined Antigua GFC in the Primera División de Ascenso this season and, for the most part, has nothing but good things to say about his experience so far: http://www.thescottishsun.co.uk/sco...ck-is-less-than-5ft-tall-thats-Guatemala.html

    The British Panza Verde

He is not, as the article states, the first European in Guatemalan football. Municipal has had Czechs and Spaniards on the team, and in 1935 we even had a German Goalkeeper, Günther Bruno Edelmann, who had also been the NT coach. I do believe Muir is the first British player ever to play professionally in Guatemala.

Popol u're right, these are just games so they can try new people and well with Cremas having a new coach now, he has to see what players he needs to get rid of and see what new players he can bring on the team. As for Xela, if i was Medford i would be worry, def. he needs to bring new players on.

As for the British Pansaverde, lo quieren nacionalizar al canche para k juegue con Guate

Hey, me and Popol are buying tix for the Rojos vs Cremas game on Jan 28 at the Home Depot Center in LA.

I'll buy them but you have to pay me back through paypal.

Let me know by Friday Jan 6, and I'll buy them then.

No, Antigua's manager is American.. He brought him to Antigua.

I just now read the Scottish Sun news article it was pretty interesting what he had to say about Guatemala.
