Where in B-more do you live? Cedar lane park is less than 5 miles from my house and it's 32 miles from my house to UMBC in Catonsville. I don't mind the Baltimore name but I had a look at the facility and that is very substandard. No type of press box. 8 small sets of bleachers each only 3 rows deep (seating I guess for about 200 total). They do have lights but the playing surface is some type of turf. On the plus side they are still doing work at the facility so things may improve and they aren't called Crystal Palace. The facility has about 12 fields of which the turf field is the only one with lights.
Another article stated that Peter Angelo's son is the owner so there is some money backing it. Being in the PDL is a good start. I would have preferred the new Stevenson University stadium as the home (seating 3600) but CLP was undoubtedly cheaper. We play soccer there on Thursday nights and it is a nice facility. The old NPSL team played there for a season and I attended a couple of games. It can be a pain to get into during the week (always enjoyable 108) but the venue is nice. Looking forward to seeing them play
I live in Hampden. Those mileages are based on driving directions. I'm not really worried about distances as the crow flies because a) I'm not a crow, and b) I don't fly.
53 Minutes, 42.2 miles from my house to Cedar lane. 1 hour and 4 minutes to RFK, 50.38 miles. If they have weeknight matches I'll likely be skipping those. There are a lot of traffic snags between my house and Bel Air on a good day let alone a bad one.
BIG CPB night at the arena every time the Blast play Norfolk with 6 former players on the turf. Healey, Lookingland, Millwood for the Blast and Marshall, Lewis & Brooks for the Sharx. Kante and Cherneski in the stands too.
