I had a conversation with a fellow Chelsea supporter about this. I looked into it, of the 13 games Bolton have played in the league, 4 of the games he wasnt even in the lineup, he was on the bench 9 games, an unused sub for 6 of those games. He's played 3 times, 25 minutes, 14 minutes, and the last time he played he got 9 minutes.

Bolton have also had quite a few red cards, actually they have recieved four which is one more than the next worst offender (us) with many of those cards coming for defenders and usually occuring with ample time on the clock

the point of the above babble by me is that Coyle has been forced to use many of his subs to shore up his defence and try to hold out for a result. Neither tactic really helps Kakuta see the field more often

but with that being said- if he can not sneak into the Bolton first team then I have serious fears about his prospects with us

I've one weird view that Coyle is only good with young British players. I know it's quite the nonsense but Vladimir Weiss & Kakuta case made me think so. Although definitely Wilshere Sturridge are by far better talents than the mentioned two.

probably more of a case of both Weiss and Kakuta being very much hyped as younger players before delivering on the pitch and both falling short of the hype to date

yeah hopefully, that CFCOS article with Emenalo talking about how loans are allowed was pretty interesting, just a shame Kakuta PvA & Matej Delac loans are the exact opposite of that view.

thought we did a good job with our loans last year

and while I was excited to see both Gael and PVA go out on loan to Premiership clubs, I am not sure how well planned out those moves were in hindsight

If Bosingwa and Ferreira are unavailable, who are Chelsea likely to field at RB. You have Ivanovic, but who is next in line?

we have a young lad named Todd Kane who is doing very well at the Youth levels and I believe recently got a call up to the England U-19s

he seems to be more of a wingback than a true fullback and as he is a little slight of stature he may end up being more a wing/flank player than a true defender
