We play Wolves away in the League Cup, and then home in the Premier League on Saturday.

I have no idea who will be in the lineup in the Carling Cup game, we started a "B" squad against Birmingham but i'm not sure if we'll do that against a PL team.

I'd expect a strong lineup on Saturday however to keep our momentum going into the Away game at Villarreal.

I think they'll start a "B" team again. I don't think there's a huge gap between Birmingham and Wolves to warrant a line up upgrade. Save the big guns for the weekend.

Not that the Carling Cup isn't important. But it should be the least of City's concerns.

Setting the lineup for this game is interesting. If you play someone tonight, i'd imagine they won't be in your plans for Saturday and Wednesday so no one plays 4 games in two weeks. You now have Balotelli available for the Champions League so that is a big boost. Play him today and put him on the bench for Saturday so he can start Wednesday vs Villarreal? Aguero should be rested as well as Milner, and Silva. I would assume Johnson and maybe Nasri would get a run out so will Kolorav and Zaba.

Hargreaves won't be playing tomorrow, slight calf niggle.

Razak, Suarez, Rekik, and Assulin didn't play for the EDS today against Stockport so there are four names that could be in contention for the Carling Cup squad.

1-3 at the HALF. Dzeko did well but he needs to take his chances better.

    2-4 is my prediction.

Christ that was a stunning 5 minutes for us with the three goals. We were crap before then but this team has never really played together.

Nasri, Dzeko, De Jong - very good.

Johnson - season best performance so far.

Kolo Toure - I'll drive him to PSG myself if he wants to go.

Razak and Scapuzzi have both grown into the game, Razak has so much talent but he's only a kid (18) so makes mistakes.

Bit worried about our defence if either Lescott or Kompany get injured. Savic is really good but also wet around the ears and a bit too aggressive. Not surprised to hear us linked with Chivu whose contract with Inter is up at the end of the season, he'd be a good experienced replacement for Kolo.

Razak has impressed me before, lets hope he keeps this up.

Savic very sloppy defending. You can tell he's nervous.

Our fifth and final goal was football porn, even the commentator said if Barca had scored that the world would be talking about it. :)

That was a good win - how promising is Denis Suarez? He plays at U18 level for us and is far too good for the level, he tore apart United in the U18s derby that we won 3-1. Rekik also a great prospect at 16.

Can't wait to catch the highlights of the game. Excited for Saturday, and hoping we can take this momentum right back in the CL next week.

Just watched the highlights of the game, the movement on all of the goals was great. The Dzeko, Nasri, Scapuzzi, movement for the 5th as well as Scapuzzi's movement to take the 4th into the net makes me think we are bringing all of the levels into the same thought of how to play. Excited to see the full squads play on Saturday.

    or

[LINEUP-4-4-2]Aguero, Balotelli, Silva, Yaya, Milner, Barry, Clichy, Lescott, Kompany, Richards, Hart[/LINEUP-4-4-2]

Can you not play the lineup that beat United?

Just a slight correction to your second starting eleven but I agree in that I believe this will be the team for Wolves today.

[LINEUP-4-3-3]Agüero, Silva, Balotelli, Yaya, Barry, Milner, Clichy, Lescott, Kompany, Richards, Hart[/LINEUP-4-3-3]

I think we'll be focusing on a clean sheet as I know Roberto, Joe, and Vinny have all expressed frustration at conceding in the last few matches.

I'll go with a 2-0 win with Agüero bagging a long overdue Swansea-style blast and Lescott nodding in from a Silva corner. Could be more but humility rarely hurts.

    We were a bit off...

Match Selection (Although most likely in more of a 4-2-3-1):

[LINEUP-4-4-2]Dzeko, Agüero, Silva, Yaya, Barry, Nasri, Kolarov, Lescott, Kompany, Richards, Hart[/LINEUP-4-4-2]

Anytime a Bosnian and a Serb get on the score sheet for the same team in the same game.... a beautiful thing!

A good win for our 10-man team against 12-man Wolves... Atwell was a diabolical joke as referee... we dominated possession yet somehow the foul count was something like 3-19 against us because that absolute joke of a referee was determined to gift Wolves something. Luckily we're good enough to beat bent referees now and we deserved the win and might have done it more comfortably if we were more clinical in the first half. Wolves played well though as a defensive unit. Hart should have done better though and his mistake got Kompany sent off - Joe needs to be less complacent, he he parrying shots too much. Our full-backs were very good for us as were Dzeko and the holy trinity of Silva, Aguero, and Nasri. Lescott was fantastic, probably the most underrated defender in the league and should be in England's side now.

BTW a fox somehow appeared on the roof of the South Stand today, bizarre I know but the club got the RSPCA to come and collect it.

That was one of the poorest officiating jobs i've ever seen recently. Silva is lucky to have made it out alive the way he was being kicked. Dzeko was rightfully heated for being fouled several times, then being whistled for less than had been done to him.
