I check youtube.com/live every once in a while because sometimes they'll have some sort of sporting event or concert or something scheduled, and that one jumped out. It's where I watched some of Copa America this past summer. It's the first time I've seen Eredivisie on here, but then again I haven't checked in a while. Not sure if it's a weekly thing or what.
AD Sportwereld reported that all Eredivisie players (so that is Jozy too) are beaten when it comes to fitness by a 32 year old woman. The Dutch sport institute has made that claim. The 32 year old woman is Nicolien Sauerbreij.
You guys are aware that if she starts chasing you to hit you with her snowboard the chances that you can outrun her are slim
I think what they meant is that from October 14 until the 23rd the 1st digital channel from EredivisieLive (they have 4) will be free to watch for Dutch digital viewers only, no streams.
For the first time in its 73 year old history a European team has made it to the Final...the Orange team.....after major surprise beat up of Cuba 4-1. The only one beaten us ( as far as I know) was Canada and that with luck. South American players asked how big baseball is as a sport in the Netherlands and were surprised that it is a very tiny sport over here. Their respect became even bigger because of that. If Cuba is to be the other finalist I doubt that we can surprise them a second time. With a lot of luck we can make history tonight. Back to Jozy, I hope he could sleep well on his flight back to AZ, so he is full of energy to take on Ajax. Or maybe it is better if he used the time on the plane to make short burst runs up and down the aile as a prep to the match!
In AD Sportwereld this saturday in an interview with AZ youngster Adam Maher he tells about his relationship with Jozy: "Jozy often helps me. At matches abroad we ofter are together. He then tells about his own career. How he debuted as a 17 year old for his own country and that he left for Spain very early. There he didnot get much playing time. He therefor tells me often:"Donot go abroad too early. Prove yourself first and for all in the Netherlands". Thank you Jozy for that advice and I hope all the youngsters that are targeted by EPL clubs, especially the Feyenoord academy is their hunting ground, read this article and take his advice very seriously. By the way We now are the true and only Baseball World Champions after beating Cuba for the second time in 2 days, and that even without our USA Major league players that didnot get the permission to join. I suspect these guys now feel sick about that. http://ibaf.org/en/news/2011/10/16/...orld-cup/a3afab07-8bb7-4996-b3b9-08ad3a764b96
Earlier in the season Maher said the same thing, that he was hanging out with Jozy often and getting good advice. It's crazy to think that Jozy is a role model and advice-giver at all of 21 years old.
Congrats! Too bad Cuba is without their MLB players, as well, permanently. It still a quality tournament, a US team of college all-stars would be no pushovers.
Were the Dutch players truly born and raised in Netherlands or were they all from the Dutch colonies in the Caribbean? Still a great accomplishment but baseball is definitely the top sport in those places.
The Dutch are probably the best baseball country in Europe. They have several professional players in MLB right now trained in Europe. While congrats to the Dutch, the Japanese are still the World Champions if you ask me.
His performances during the game and his behaviour outside the field http://voetbalzone.nl/doc.asp?uid=150027
Damn, Altidore. I thought he was good in the 2ndhalf of AZ's last game too. In the 1st half he was off but still contributed to the goal by making a nice run to draw defenders away.
Yea, translator did little for me. But I could tell by the comments that fans are not high on him at the moment. This will be a crucial time for Jozy in Holland. Hopefully he re-examines things and really puts in the work.
