It is abundantly clear at this time Tim Ream is not ready for the National Stage. First Panama and now Ecuador. It's time for Omar!

If one good thing comes from tonight is that ream has been officially revealed as the fraud he is. What an awful year for Tim ream. Omar is a much better defensive prospect.

Pretty much this. He's been figured out in the MLS, and he belongs nowhere near the National Team. The US was cruising to a decent 0-0 draw only to have Ream make a mistake even Jonathan Bornstein at his worst wouldn't make.

The one bright spot is that Klinsi dropped Orozco after the dismal Honduras outing. I don't think we will ever see Ream for the National Team ever again. Gonzalez, Whitbread, Marshall and John must all be smiling right now.

I'll believe it when he isn't called in November.

He was injured according to JK.

TR has been obvious for a while.....but wait....I was just a "hater" who didn't understand cool passing.:p

In defense of TR I agreed with the Brit announcer. Tough spot in that game.
Told my 7 year old that this kid is gonna blow it. Very Ricomiscent. Just saw it coming. Feel bad for him at this point.

Whitglass isn't even a thought until he can play 6 matches in a row without cracking.

The rumor about Orozco, is that he was injured, and that is why he was subbed at half vs Hon, and was left off the bench today.

I pray that isn't true. There is absolutely no reason why Ream or Orozco should be called in again before

    John
    Gonzalez
    Cameron

    get a shot.

This game showcased that the Pink Bulls current American players are garbage (Agudelo and Ream). Hell, a player like Freddy Adu or Herculez Gomez needs to be called up. Someone who can help produce goals in crucial times.

it should be abundantly clear that Gooch-Boca is our pairing for the time being.

And as others have touched on, Gonzalez, John, and even Cameron should be ahead of Ream at this juncture. Ream is like the second coming of Parkhurst on these boards in terms of overrated physically outmatched defenders.

I'd take Gomez over Fiscal if Jk wants to pander!:p

Can't wait to see what he does in November. Heads may start exploding at that point.

Before people blow up at Klinsi for choosing the "prettier" player in Ream over the arguably more effective Omar, let's not forget that Bruce Arena isn't the most charitable donor come this time of year. (Kudos to Hyndman for doing what's right for Brek, though.)

What evidence do you have that arena has influenced the non call up of omar?

Ream certainly doesn't look nt quality, but I'm much more concerned about two goals in five matches and the continuous suckage on home soil. You'd think maybe blind luck might give the U.S. a semi-comfortable win every now and then, but man, the U.S. has been in a constant battle the past few years. A battle they more often than not lose.

That was the only positive from the game no more Ream we will need Gonzalez to take down the French next month.

Ream is not ready...I don't think Gonzalez or John are either..they should get there chance like anybody else, though.

Boca and Gooch are the starters though.

I think Omar will definitely be on the roster in November. During the post game, ESPN interviewed Donovan and straight up asked him if Omar was ready for a call up and Landon was all for it. I think everyone knows that Omar needs to be on this team to show what he can do.

If Klinsmann continues to desire having a DM like Beckerman sit alongside the backline, then that partially rectifies the slowness of an Onyewu-Gonzalez pairing. So it may be worth trying out.

lol I agree that Agudelo isn't good enough for the national team but come on. We should be calling up wondolowski considering he continues to score and we really didn't give him the same amount of chances as Agudelo.

I think Gonzalez should have been called in at least by the beginning of this year. He has stepped up his game and deserves it. NOW is the time for Omar to get his shot -- and I don't think he'll relinquish it for a long, long time. :)

And at this point, I'd rather have Omar and Orozco/Gooch than Bocanegra in there. Carlos is getting a little long in the tooth and we need to make that change sooner than later.

Tim Ream is a good player, but I don't think he's ready for the international game yet -- last night showed us that.

    Skevinrules,

There are players that can play on the big stage of the National Team, but Ream and Wondolowski are not those guys. If we're looking for another striker that is off the Radar we have to look at Charlie Davies again. He's proven he can play on that stage.
