Will sounds like a date that let's you get to first base and has you thinking that you are rounding the corner only to pull the stop on you.
Seeing him at the tailgate at the RSL game, and later when he was out on the field after the game, Chang seemed really upbeat. Of course, that could be nothing more than wishful thinking on my part.
Have you ever seen an owner not upbeat after a 4-1 victory over one of the top 3 teams in the league?

Yes, at half-time during a SJ match in SJ when he sprinted to the locker room to rip the team a new one.
Goff dropped another hint on twitter just now: @soccerinsider: Philly supporters chanting at visiting #dcu fans, "Baltimore United!" Should change it to "Buzzard Point United" ;-) He knows something. That's two references in two weeks after months, years of ZZzzZz. I'm officially cautiously optimistic for reals, now.
"You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to CHICO13 again." Have you read these boards? How can I?
Right? In an unrelated note, my ex just left me a voicemail telling me to stop calling, so I'm cautiously optimistic that we're getting back together. Sorry, that was bitchy. But until the site is secured and money allocated, I refuse to get excited. This team has led me to the champagne room and left me disappointed too many times.
Cool guys, keep letting us know how unexcited you are. I simply pointed out that Goff, who has a history of absolutely not talking about the stadium at all. has now pretty unsubtly mentioned it twice in less than two weeks.
This has been going on for so long that Goff (just like a lot of people) also has a history of absolutely talking about the stadium and potential stadium sites.
I was mostly trying to be funny, but I think a little cynicism is to be expected considering the deals that have collapsed and that this one is still at the rumor-mill stage. However, I would say that it is unwise to get your hopes up this early. DC United stadium deals have collapsed from more advanced positions. That doesn't mean that this one will, but right now there is perhaps some sound and fury, but nothing in the way of concrete details. I'm not sure that I accept that Goff never talks about the stadium issue. He tried to sell Buzzard Point back in May. Goff thinks it's viable, if not perfect. I got the impression thereafter that it got a cool reception from city officials and ambiguous responses from Akridge. Unfortunately, statements from DC United since then have been of the "we want to stay in DC, but we're considering Baltimore." Maybe that's a smokescreen for closed door negotiations, but it is a convincing one. I have no idea what Baltimore's finances look like, but I am skeptical of a stadium deal in DC right now. The DC government can't even afford to keep the Lincoln Theater open; I just don't see them making any except the most minor efforts to help Chang and anyone else he brings on board. So unless Chang has found someone to help finance it and they are willing to go it alone. Obstacles can be overcome, but I guess I just don't see anything that's changed to make me think that a stadium deal is suddenly possible and this is more than speculation. Maybe Chang is taking advantage of low interest rates, I don't know.
What Skip wrote. So unless Goff secures a site and money, it is difficult to get excited. But reviving the thread is good. Is it time to start a new one?
