Great. Please give us your thoughts on Ulisis. I'm a fan of this kid. Love how shifty and creative he is with the ball.

Well for once, have not seen enough or say any of this kid in live action. So not in a position to comment really. If I get a stream I'll try to catch it on. Quite curious to see how he plays.

maybe he can develop into that elusive RB we always needed, bring someone in to fill that gap between him and boss, paulo and we may have a secured position

He got a goal off a corner from Tore and they won 2-1, heady times.

3-3 draw for the u18s against Ipswich Town. Seems defense is the biggest problem for our youth side this season. Good attacking players are there. Loftus Cheek scored again, Baker converted a pen & an own goal.

3-3 entertaining draw for the reserves, can't believe there was no live coverage after earlier promise, big shame really. OS took down reserve preview after declaring match will be shown live.

Todd Kane scored 2, other one was Billy C shot deflected via George Saville into the net.

Todd Kane has 12 goals in 35 official youth and reserve games since becoming a scholar. One in three not too shabby for a right-back.

    Impressive return!

As you watch more of the games than I do pete, do you attribute this to clinical finishing on the occasions he gets forward or an over-emphasis on attacking play?

My big concern from the ressie/youth highlights i have seen (and I confess I do not tend to watch full matches), is we are very open at the back and invite teams to attack our flanks (PVA being included in this observation - good going forward but found wanting at the back on more than one occasion).

if you dont mind me chiming in

I think its a combination of what you mention above coupled with some pretty poor defending. Reserve football has moved on from what we used to remember where the fourth choice CD and second choice RB get a run out for fitness. Several teams use the Ressie set up to get their youngsters some games so literarily there is some schoolboy defending on display.

Todd just has to bulk up and settle in on a position. Dont really see him as a RB tbh and his future may lie as a winger/wing back type player.

Yeah, its definitely a bit of both. Most of the time our squad is the one with the attacking onus, and he's never been one to be shy going forward. It will be interesting to see where AVB and Co. place him as he comes of age.
