    -Jorge Valdano

Also football was attacked the notion of efficiency and there is he who dares ask, what good play is useful for. It results tempting to tell that one day they dared ask Borges what use poetry had and answered with more questions: What is the sunrise useful for? What is caressing useful for? What is the smell of coffe useful for? Each question sounded like a declaration: its use is for pleasure, for emotion, to live.

"I think is fantastic, I can tell you great stories about Magico, the truth is, I was lucky enought to play with him for Argentinos Jrs, Barcelona, and after I watched the enganches he did to the Spaniards, he was unique because if we wanted to do the same things, we would have pulled our muscles, we wanted to imitate Magico Gonzalez but we werent able to."

"In practices we wanted to, we would say to each other, did you see what Jorge did? the goal Magico scored? did you see the enganche he did? "

"He is in between the best 10 players I have ever seen in my life, for sure, there is not doubt about it"

    Maradona on Magico Gonzalez.
