A visual evidence that this is Kim Shinwook's world, and the rest of you are just living in it. [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wHfP6p8Ukak"]KIM Shin Wook - YouTube[/ame]
Id like to see Rob Cornthwaite (officially the tallest guy in K-league atm) and Kim Shin Wook go one-on-one for a high ball and see who wins. That'd be a beast!
Ulsan's Wookie is indeed one badass motherf*ker. Hoping for a back-to-back League Cup success for him next season, and I'm not even an Ulsan fan. 김신욱 화이팅!!!~
That might be good for him, but bad for us K-League fans. I'm so sick of potential K-League stars leaving Korea the minute things start getting interesting. F*ck the Europe bandwagon, stay in the K-League.
He was good today but he's so one dimensional and SOOOO CLUMSY. Gawd just stick you foot out like 1 more inch and you'll get a goal. He showed so much of that today. It was funny though how one dimensional he is but no one can stop him in the air
One dimensional, rusty, stiff, call it whatever you want, but there isn't a striker in this league more effective right right now, and that list includes players like Stevo and Radoncic who are similar to his style. A guy his size shouldn't be able to run that much during a 90-minute match. He's like Lee Yongrae out there, except he's a freaking Gulliver.
I agree that he's effective. I stated that in my post. His height is nearly impossible to deal with in the K-League (not sure anywhere else). Also, he runs quite a bit and you can see him drop deep quite a bit too. But this is probably his limit. He is just clumsy and he's never gonna develop a first touch and agility like JDW. Again, I saw at least 2 instances where he should've at least stretched his body to go for the goal but he didn't/couldn't.
Actually he's pretty fast for 2 metres. When you are 'effective', it really doesn't matter what your weaknesses are. You are effective.
That's not what I'm saying. I know he's a surprisingly fast sprinter but I mean agility as in just how well you move your body. The opposite of stiffness. Your weaknesses ALWAYS matter for the player and those watching him. Obviously it matters for his career as a KNT player and the fans of KNT.
Not quite. He was asked to change positions. A lot like how Drogba was asked to become a forward even though he would have been fine as a fullback.
Theoretically, he should be playing more for the national team in the future. Choi Gang-hee's got history of using tall strikers as super-subs and having success with them (e.g. Jung Sung-hoon).
