MVila would be a great addition, he is young but already experienced.
He can play next to Song and JW or can deputize as the defensive midfield as well.
If AW can get Wenger, that would be just fantastic. Hazard has the potential to be the best European player in the next couple of years.

No gibberish about watching paint dry, please. Ergo, no more talk about stupid baseball!!!!!

Back on topic--if it's the Board vs. Wenger, I'm sticking up for Le Boss, all the way. ALready signed that petition.

What the hell was the point of getting the new stadium if we can't compete on salaries with the top money merchants in the sport.

Wenger has repeated set that the goal of a football club is not to hoard money. Further, since he always chooses his words carefully, he must have made his "selling Cesc and Nasri would mean we are a small club" comments with great care and deliberation. Perhaps a way to stake out a position vis a vis the Board.

I agree with AW's theory--no buying junk, or even as good as we got now.

A man as erudite and educated as AW never speaks without carefully selecting phrasing, wording and the like

One bit of good news, according to the Guardian, J Wilshere may be available on Wednesday vs Udinese. He trained thursday, friday and saturday.
JDJ may be available as well. That would be just great!

LOL. Wow. Poor writing there. I was talking about Arsenal not the Sox but it certainly seemed like I was talking about the Sox.

I saw him play in a friendly over a year ago and was sold immediately. He's good and he's exactly what we need.

    I really hope this happens.

I'm assuming if this deal goes through we'll have to send Frimpong out on loan to ensure he gets first team football.

Why? Frimmers will play Carling and FA Cup while Song/M'Villa rest up. BTW What the fuhk happened to Craig Eastmond?

well that all depends on how Wenger approaches the CC. If we're going all out on all competitions then his chances for CC games are even slimmer.

Lansbury only played in one CC game last season before going on loan, for example.

We might just be better off giving him an entire season of first team football than a few CC games and only half a season.

I'm referring to the one the field role he played. He was the central cog to the team for the past 5 years.

And the Phillies, for that matter.

That's only been for the past 2 or so years since the ownership actually started spending money it got from a new stadium...hmmm, perhaps Arsenal should have a talk with the Phillies ownership. Its own people (Ruiz, Rollins, Howard, Utley, Hamels) plus additions (Thome, Ibanez, Halladay, Pence). Hell, now that I think of it that way, perhaps Arsenal need to call Ruben Amaro for some help.

ESPN has been all about the Red Sox and Yankees for over a decade now.

Im totally behind Wenger in his transfer dealings regardless of what happens but on a sidenote i hope there is an influx of players as Arsenal on FIFA 12 are going to suck so bad lol...

I dont want to play with Barca for another year, i end up feeling like Cesc & Henry after they left..

So far it seems the plan is starting CC players in our League and European games. So maybe we'll be playing veterans in the Carling Cup?
