Yeah, now that i think about it, maybe it's mostly the Chinese and Koreans. It seems the Japanese reverse the names when translating to English, so i was probably wrong about Ryo. Anywho, i gave it a try.

I heard there might be potential add-ons, as well. Would've loved to see him in an Arsenal kit, but does that price seem like overpayment to anyone else?

If I'd thought about it, I could've just gone to the Soccerway database, but then I wouldn't have gotten to show off my mad Japanese skillz. :D

the add-ons will make it 47 million, 40 million is the initial fee.

Atletico Madrid got rinsed here, I dont think Falcao is THAT good, hence why Porto didnt turn the offer down.

Jagielka would be transfer suicide unless he costs no more than 7.5 million...

Seriously. We can afford it. Enough of this drama queen rhetoric. I'd like also to be "sans-Squach", but we can afford to keep him on the books, too.

Nah you run a club properly, you dont just splash the cash for players over there value who are not better than your starters.

I still take Koscielny over Jagielka who is about to touch 30 and ever since i saw David Villa rape him i just have never been that impressed.

If we spend how you suggest then that 'we can afford it' will turn to 'hes out of our price range'.

Im with Wenger, always pay a players value, it will only benefit the club in the long run.

Why Jagielka is a waste of money, i also remember us giving him the runaround in a 6-1 hammering at Goodison Park.....i just dont think he is that good.

BAINES BAINES BAINES BAINES BAINES. JESUS H. BAINES. As if we ever had more of a reason to sign him. Also, Fellaini for cheap, please!!!

So you are basing your judgement on a goal against Spain, and Villa the most lethal striker. Not only that but his international play? Might as well not buy English players then. He's old but he would mean that we would have depth and be reliable. Anything over Squillaci and I doubt we will sign him for 17 anyway.

I agree with you, but I hear a lot of people saying no to jagielka, cahill, dann, etc. But who then? Because it seems like wenger wants someone with premier league experience.

Baines is a good kid, but i dont hes good enough for Arsenal. He lacks pace and for our style of football, that is something our full backs must have. Also if you dont have pace as a full back in the Champions League man you are toast before you can even say defend.

His best asset is probably his crossing but then we dont cross the ball cause our style of play is short passing so i guess that pretty much rules him out.

I don't understand how you don't think he's good enough for Arsenal. Maybe if he changed his named to Leightinho or played in Spain right now, he'd be attractive to you? We are in a fight to qualify for the CL this season. We have absolutely no depth. Everton are in dire straits. We need to pull the trigger on some moves. This really is a "no brainer". We know he can play very well in the Prem League.

Not arguing w/ you, cash. Just engaging in a debate - gonna try to keep it positive. Sometimes, though, you just make me scratch my head. It seems that every player isn't "good enough" for you.

I've come really come to believe that we're going to sell Nasri, sign one player that will make everyone say "hmmmm, well ok, I guess so," and that will be it. Not even going to guess on a position for the signing. Just a feeling, and I hope I'm dead wrong.

What happened to that Traore loan rumor some people seemed so sure of yesterday? Still haven't seen that anywhere.

Kaka has been playing on one good leg since he re-injured his knee in that 2010 WC. He is done at the top level.
