Me too. He needs to develop some understanding with teammates, but there's lot's of raw material to work with. He reminds me of Adebayor: not quite as strong in balance but way more skill on the ball.
Yeah. I feel like I'm going to have to download the game so I can figure out where all the Rosicky hate is coming from. From what I remember, everything he does is intelligent and efficient. He athleticism isn't great, but didn't seem horrible either.
No, it's just that i think rosicky's form has declined in recent years, btw i dont care about past, the reality is that slovaks have caught up to the Czechs.
first 30-45 minutes, i thought he was quite good and doing what we might expect from wilshere: offensively, picking up the ball from the back or being release valve when someone is under pressure and sending them off to various attackers and, defensively, coming back to help and chase after loose balls. very much what i expect to see from him. very neat and tidy. either he picked up the injury that he is said to be carrying near the end of the first half or, as prince noted, he ran out of gas because he was pretty invisible in the second half and lost the ball cheaply a few times.
more like 151 appearances since he signed for us in the summer of 2006, 21 of those for his country. that's an average of just over 30 games per season, playing about 66 mins per appearance.
my bad, well done. My main point is, he's a good squad player. Yes, he's not quite as good as his first season or two with us and probably will never be. But, IMO, he's an upgrade to Denilson as a backup CM and his work rate is still as high as I remember. Ideally, if AW could sign a quality ACM, we could have first choice of Song-Wilshere-Newguy as the middle three with Ramsey, Rosicky, Frimpong, Diaby as backups. Not too bad. Maybe by next season, Ramsey reaches his potential and we can change formation/tactics to squeeze him into the starting lineup.
I agree. Well I think we need Ramsey to start probably half the games for Arsenal to get the experience and let the other ACM play the other half.
