What a shame that clubs are interested in Nasri and Fabregas (sold). Why they cant take rosicky? He doesnt deserve to be a gunner, or to play in matches like this.

Yesterday our best player was Vermaelen or Gervinho. Chamakh was average :-\

Let's see how you play with your hamstring held together by woodscrews.

Meh, he still gives it his all, and if all our players did the same, we'd be in a lot better shape. You're not hating because the Czechs got all the good players in the divorce, are you?

See, there's the problem. Some kind of toggle bolt would have left him with more mobility.

Every time I hear about somebody from the board making the trip I get more and more envious. I've come to terms with the fact it just ain't gonna happen until retirement, or at least both kids out of college. Congrats!

Give him some slack. He's basically just come back into the side after 2-3 years of injury. Personally, I think Rosicky did okay and I'm happy to have him in the side. He helps out the defense, plays extremely hard and has the guile to play a killer ball once in a while. He's not an ideal starter, but he's about the best backup CM we could hope for.

I don't know what all this Gervinho lacks a final ball crap is, but give him some time. He was pretty much the only dynamic player on the pitch. Theo was more dangerous but he depends on others to put him in whereas Gervinho can create for himself more.

Ramsey was decent...he'd make one great pass and one horrible one. He needs to work on keeping his concentration for the whole match.

Well, two games, two clean sheets. Not convincing ones, but I'll take them. I hope this musical chairs at the back was the straw needed to get AW to buy a CB as soon as possible.

I'd doubt that since Slovakia has some top players. I'm not sure which national team is better at this point. I suspect from the players I know on both teams that Czechs are going to fall down the ranks a bit over the next few years as the current good generation goes while Slovakia is still on the rise.

Agreed, and we also have to keep in mind that he's still new to the squad. His "final ball" and decision making should get better once he starts to gain a better understanding with his teammates. IMHO, some of the poor final balls he plays look like instances in which a teammate zigs when Gervinho was expecting them to zag.

I have high hopes on Gervinho as well. He is quick, creative and fearless. He is still raw but has all the attributes to be a great attacker. His final ball is still lacking but he is in great hands with AW. TH 14 was pretty raw as well when he joined back in the days. I can only wish that Gervinho follows his steps!

I thought Rosicky was pretty good yesterday. Lots of hustle and he did well helping us keep posession in the midfield on many loose balls. Is he our best midfielder? No, but he's my favorite. Sometimes, I think he could bag a brace and still take flak on this board. (spare me the Rosicky goal jokes)

We accomplished the main 2 things that the Gaffer hoped for: a goal and a clean sheet. Considering the squad options we had available, I think our status heading into the 2nd leg in Italy favors us to go through.

We need to be a little more crafty when dealing with the next touchline ban.

What I don't get is... I've always seen coaches relay things through to the next coach.
