he's the only person any opposing team member would be afraid of. hes got a lot of potential, but yeah i think the midfield needs to be song, wilshere, ramsey. frimmy aint ready.

and im getting tired of Gibbs being made out of glass. If Traore is injured from the reserve game yesterday then we either play Verm at LB and then Squallaci starts!!! or play Jenkinson or Sagna out of position

    we need a signing NOW

Grow a pair. From the teams that finished above us last season only City really improved from the off season. Liverpool will be better, but we have a shot regardless of the pundits and disbelievers. The counter will allow us to score more goals then trying to score when the box is packed and we tap it around.

i don't think frimpong misplaced a single pass, and he played some stinging forward passes. he seems like a real player.

as for jenkinson, just appreciate that he didn't wet his pants. watching him was like poop your own pants time. but he didn't make a mistake, and this will give him great confidence. i think many of you remember gibbs first CL game against united. he was just as nervous, and he also messed up. but today gibbs was GOOD!

you have to appreciate walcott and gervinho today. with a more in form striker, we would have scored thrice. i think for the first 20 minutes theo was absolutely imperious, energetic, a totally WOW player. how many times today did theo do his typical dribbling down the right wing and finally over the back touchline? i don't recall him doing it even once.

i think the poor second half was just nerves and tiredness. because of all the negativity from fans like TexTech, our players look scared once things start to go awry. that will go away with a few wins.

this is a good team, we need some polish and some backups. and make no mistake, udinese is a good team. i think united and chelsea would also struggle against them. they keep the ball well for the most part.

Sorry but...he should be able to play either side at this level IMO. Good team for him to make his debut against. Needs much more playing time to settle down which he may just get. Schools still out.

squillaci cant play, i think even wenger knows this by now. it think we'll see the same line that ended the game, which im fine with because they looked solid and i think jenkinson will improve

I'd have my money on Shrek, going to give Frimmy nightmares with that mug

Yea, I just hope Jack's Achilles isn't serious and he has a chance of playing against Utd, those can be tricky to recover from.

I think it speaks to our club's (present) ambitions that there is little discussion of what this game means in terms of our CL prospects.

We all seem to have absorbed the "4th place" and group stages of the CL is the best we can hope for.

Here's hoping that we can qualify for the group stages next Wednesday and that will give Arsene all of five days to spend the CL money we need to survive. I'd be shocked to see a signing before then.

really wanted that walcott/ gervinho combo goal at the end. walcott needs to finish those. he'll be big for us this year. let's see how he does against some "top 4"competition the next coming weeks.

yep, just ask verm. i think we need to be cautious with him. i dont think he needs to get rushed for that game. united wont be full strength. honestly against that midfield frimmy, song, wilshere would do. lets hope for a full recovery, and quickly.

Obviously he can't, which makes me wonder why Sagna wasn't shifted to the left. Anyway, we still need a LB.

Song is suspended for the next 3 matches.

It'll probably be Frimmy, Ramsey, Rosicky (possibly Lansbury or Jack if he recovers in time)

Even without Rio, Vidic, and Raphael. United are dangerous on the counter. They'll be up for the challenge as will we.

oh for the newcastle incident? hadn't heard that. would gervinho, song, ramsey, arsh work? theo and rvp up top? i just dont have confidence in rosicky. he needs to show something. hes just an average player imo.

Yup, you're correct. Don't know where I got the achilles bit from. Jack said it was inflammation on his ankle

We're playing at OT. I think we'll be ok as long as we don't have any more injuries. *knocks on wood*

Plus we should have added a player or two by then

watched it with a bunch of gooners at Abbeys in Bmore. the people i talked to said the same thing i am saying now. hes average, just another guy in red. i'd rather try something different and see if it works, cuz i know what im getting from rosicky. its alright though, he had his time, shame it couldnt have been different. gotta move on though.
