No Fernando, I'm guessing he'll probably be sold in the coming days or weeks. But it'll be really interesting to see who AVB selects in his midfield, and hopefully we take advantage of Benfica's draw yesterday.

    Lista de convocados:

    Guarda-redes: Bracali e Helton

Defesas: Sapunaru, Maicon, Otamendi, Rolando, Fucile e Alvaro Pereira

Médios: Souza, João Moutinho, Rúben Micael, Guarín e Belluschi

Avançados: Hulk, Varela, Kléber, Djalma e Falcão

I know its an easy slip up but he's long gone ;)

I agree Fernando is probably sold. I would go with Belluschi, Moutinho and Freddy for midfield. Vitoria will come out stronger this game compared to the Super Cup but we should be able to take the 3pts.

Oh man, I'm definitely in pre-season form still! :D

Definitely agree that this'll be a tough game, and the MF is the big question--does VP go with Souza or Guarin as a DM? BTW, very nice to see Alvaro Pereira called up.

Huge game. We have the chance or already being in 1st after round 1. I'm sure VSC can't wait to spoil the party though

The no Fernando call-up is interesting indeed.

    I expect

    --------------------Helton-----------------
    ----Fucile-----Ronaldo---Otamendi-----Pereira--
    -----------------Guarin--------------------
    ---------Moutinho--------Micael------------
    -----Hulk------------Falcao------Varela------

Let's take first place! Capitalize on Sporting & Benfica's ties

Reports are coming that Falcao is not starting, but Guarin is. Maybe he is leaving...

    Official XI

    ----------------------Helton---------------------
    --Sapunaru-----Otamendi--Rolando--------Fucile
    ----------------------Souza-------------------
    --------------Moutinho--------Guarin----------
    -------Hulk-----------Kleber-------------Varela-----

    Bench:
    Alvaro
    Falcao
    Bracali (GK)
    Djalma
    Belluschi
    Micael
    Maicon

No Alvaro & Falcao in the starting XI? Very odd. Hope they aren't being sold. But Fernando is going to be sold and wasn't even included in the team; so odd.

Also, can't use Copa as an excuse because Guarin is in the lineup.

It's different though, Kleber and Fucile have been playing well in the pre-season, Micael and Bellushi (who was also injured for awhile) not so much.

Falcao and Guarin arrived at the same time, Alvaro arrived even later. And Guarin seemed in better shape than Falcao in the previous game. Different players, Guarin is the kind of guy that rounds into form right away.

That said, I think there's a chance both Alvaro and Falcao leave. But them being in the bench has nothing to do with that.

I think Alvaro will definitely leave.. especially when Sandro joins.. 10 mil on this LB Sandro..

    Falcao hopefully won't.

Great chance for Kleber, but the keeper stops his shot...

Good chance the other way too, Helton saves a shot point blank.

I'd say one solid chance a piece.

    Gonna be a tough game

    Wow, should be 1-0 Vitoria.

Horrible touch by the striker at point blank, he should have absolutely finished it.

    Not liking our D

Damn, Kleber so close! Beats the keeper who somehow recovers to make the safe.

I'm watching on a stream, it's decent but little details hard to tell. Was it a good penalty call?

Wasn't sure if he called a drag down or a hand ball?

The goalie almost saved it too!

    1-0 Porto, Hulk penalty.
