I'll be driving up from Stuttgart to attend.

Keeping my eyes peeled for ticket info, I'll post if I find anything too.

I just got home from Belgium last night, and well can reccoment a nice B&B if there is anyone bringing their wife and are seeking a good place for a little quieter expereice. its a 1 bedroom place with a private kitchen, like 1 block from the pedestrian tourist friendly part of brussels. so literally 5 minutes from your room you can get a Rosch 10 or westy 12 and a Gyro

Was looking at hotels by the stadium, and found a Holiday Inn right across the street from the stadium. Where are people staying in Brussels?

for the love of god stay in central brussels.

the subway stops at the stadium, and given the choice of 500 bars and eateries or um a stadium gift store, I hope to hell you choose the one with 9.5%ABV

the metro from the bourse is the one I used most, very easy to use, VERY. its not like its Paris or moscow

Central Brussels is really an awesome place.

looking at a map, center your search on the grand place
tried to link it, but just google grand place brussels belgium.
there are a ton of bars very close by.

    put this is your phone:
    Impasse de la Fidélité 4A
    1000 City of Brussels, Belgium
    02 514 44 34

another great place is the corner of Kaasmarkt and Rue des Chapeliers. I recomend coming here and spending very little on food (greek) and sitting at a corner bar and ordering a few Rochfort 10's or go big and get Westy12;s... Roschfort is better and cheaper, but hell, you are in Belgium, order just one Westly, its the hardest beer to buy in the world, and 12 Euro is alot cheaper than the $40 you pay on the internet in the USA

Should we arrange to meet up at a specific bar / place near the stadium to drink and then go in en masse? If there is interest, I can offer up some options. I live in Brussels.

Drinking in public is encouraged in Belgium, while from my experiences at games here, urinating in public is at least tolerated.

Maybe Sasha will let us pregame at his place...

I would really like to buy "good" tickets for the game rather than the USSF allocation. Thoughts? When I went to the game in Switzerland, I had midfield seats and US supporters were scattered through the crowd everywhere. Will they really deny us entry if we elect to sit elsewhere?

US Soccer Supporters Club has received an allocation and is selling through presale to its members. Already grabbed my tickets, but could be worth it for others....

Having been to a half dozen or so club and international matches here in Europe as a visitor I can say if you wear visitor shirts or carry visitor flags anywhere but the visitors section, you can be tossed. Won't always happen, particularly if you're just wearing a US shirt and behaving yourself. But if you come kitted out with a stupid US Outlaws mask and waving flags and what not outside the visitors section, you're most likely going to be dealt with.

If you wear non-team specific clothes and behave yourself, you'll be fine anywhere you like, even if openly cheering for the US.

I saw Sams Army has tickets for $50. Guess AO decided not to fly to Belgium.

Interesting that Sam's Army is selling them for double their face value.

    Sheesh!

no. Sam's Army ticket page is just a link to the US Soccer ticket page. $50 is what USSF is charging.

I saw AO put out on Twitter they will have tickets for the game. My mistake for questioning them.

Got my ticket im in section A1 row 10 seat 35. Where is everybody staying?
I think I might get a room at the Ibis Brussels Expo-Atomium , I've had pretty good rooms staying in the Accor hotels in Europe , but if anybody has other suggestions , that are not 300 dollars a night I would welcome them

I bought my ticket from the footbel.com website:

Fan Verenigde Staten Block: A2 Row: 12 Place: 9

I wasn't sure if either AO or US Soccer was selling tickets, so I just bought it on the Belgian site.

Staying at the Theater Hotel Brussels. Seems like a pretty nice place from the website.

    http://www.theaterhotelbrussels.com/

Bought my flight and hotel package from Orbitz.
